I actually had an interesting offer tonight that I'd like to talk to you about, jesse, if you wouldn't mind?
Of course!
So, anyway, the SO's family's "go buy groceries for someone" push in memory of his dad made the local news. Apparently it was a bit of a crazy day.
That's great! I'm mad at myself that I was at the supermarket yesterday but forgot.

Maybe there will be a toaster???
I thought a continental breakfast wasn't hot? Are they just trying to say there will be eggs AND toast?
Continental breakfast + waffle irons? Like at hotels?
This week I've been seeing a ginger kitten sitting in the third floor window of a house down the street. Everyone's windows are open due to the heat wave, so I probably only noticed ginger kitten now because I can hear the meowing.
Are they just trying to say there will be eggs AND toast?
I think? We have never had a hot breakfast before, so I am afraid to get my hopes up for eggs and meat of some sort. Usually the breakfasts are way to starchy for me, and make me crazy! It is an "All-School Meeting", so who knows- we have them twice per year, and the breakfast is always (untoasted) bagels, cream cheese, fruit and coffee.
When I lived in San Francisco, it seemed weird that there were no screens in windows. Once a friend's cat was sitting in an open window when the cat rolled over and fell out the window. It was a three story fall, but the cat was OK.
No screens?? That seems crazy.
Well, there aren't mosquitos in San Francisco.
Last Friday was my office dinner. My brother came over to look after Ryan while we schmoozed with the office bods (a process that apparently involved no less than three episodes of the Muppet Show). He confirmed it went pretty smoothly:
Me: "So how did you go with Ryan tonight?"
Brendan: "Good, no problems. It was like babysitting Manny from Modern Family."
I feel I should be watching more Modern Family, to better understand my boy.
