Played with Kaylee. Sun came out, and I walked on my feet and heard with my ears. I ate the bits, the bits stayed down, and I work. I function like I'm a girl. I hate it because I know it'll go away. The sun goes dark and chaos has come again. Bits. Fluids. What am I?!

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

And when, the day before, do I do the deciding of what to wear tomorrow?

For me, I do it right before bed. I have essentially three outfits -- swim stuff, what to get to the gym in and then my work clothes. I put my work clothes, along with a towel, in my workout bag, then I leave my swim suit and outfit to get to the gym on top of my bag. I put both on the couch right before I go to bed.

This is the piece that is most helpful from the book: [link]

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Getting dressed becomes a whole lot easier when all of your tops go with all of your bottoms.

The status is NOT quo.

Kat is me (except I don't work out in the morning during the week). I hang my work clothes in the bathroom the night before right before bed. If I'm going to run first, I make a pile of my running clothes. I have a tiny bathroom, but that cue makes a huge difference in my ability to get myself moving in the morning.

Speaking of, I'm about to go to the gym for the first time in months and months to set up some personal training. I need pressure to start working out because I am so sick of being out of shape. Yes, I have good cardio from running, but I need strength training to avoid injuries. I'm also really sick of not fitting into the cute clothes I want to wear.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I did a bit of straightening up in the living room and kitchen just in case I have company over today, and Jackson hissed at me, clearly thinking I had been replaced by an imposter.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My sister's solution to the morning workout conundrum is to go to bed the night before in her morning workout gear, or at least the pants and the gym bra. Voila, all dressed in the morning!

My big obstacle to working out before work is the overwhelming feeling of dread and self-loathing that I wake up to every morning. Oh, and the carving out time to actually work out. I am already getting up at 6 just to get everyone dressed and out the door in the mornings. I don't think I could ever shift my wake up time to 4:30 or whatever it would need to be to make exercising a possibility.

My 18 year old niece just posted her first drinking at college photo on Facebook.

Ah, milestones! I'd be tempted to post a comment along the lines of "I can see you" but that's the teacher in me. I am always pointing out to my students the don't-do-that-in-front-of-your-boss faux pas they make.

Punishingly Intricate

I have furminated a dog and brushed a very fluffy cat (& now have enough fur to make extra pets)! & made hummus for a get together this afternoon. Hopefully it is pethair free!

Yard work done and garage lock fixed. And it's gross when you can actually wring out the bandana on your head and it still falls with a sickly plop into the washer.

I cannot work out in the morning. I do it now and again when the y closes early, but that's when the rest of the day is free. Before going to work? Even if there was enough time? No fucking way.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Yeah, I think working out in the morning is part of that fantasy-me I imagine I'm going to magically become. In reality, I'm barely functional before 11am, no matter what time I go to bed or what time I get up. "They" say you shouldn't exercise right before bedtime, but I find it a good way to relieve the day's stress. So, evening exercise for me.

I like getting up to watch the sunrise and putter around the house a little in the pleasant dawn hours. And then going the f* back to bed until 10am.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like getting up to watch the sunrise and putter around the house a little in the pleasant dawn hours. And then going the f* back to bed until 10am.

That would be ideal for me as well. But since I have to get up at dark o'clock to get to work on time anyway, squeezing in a workout seems doable (and I don't find after work or in the evening any easier - once I am home I don't want to go out again, and I'm usually worn out immediately after work)

At work right now AINFG. Not terrible, actually, but not great.
