Now I am pulled over in a parking lot because it's raining torrentially, and I don't drive through downtown enough to know what streets flood. This is not my best day.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Watching the v exciting (though still scoreless) USA-Germany game.
I am embarrassed, as a lesbian, to admit I had no idea how to pronounce Megan Rapinoe's name, and apparently was doing so incorrectly. (She's so dreamy!)
Ugh, I'm so sorry Maria.
I adulted like a MF Adult today! I deserve a drink, and someone else to pick up take out for dinner.
I adulted! I adultly discovered I'd missed my speeding ticket court date. By looking at the ticket. But then I adultly CALLED THEM and asked what to do, and they said, oh that totally happens all the time, and we'll give you a sixty day extension and you can still do the online defensive driving school. So yay me. Two hundred bucks in stupid tax, but oh well.
I picked up takeout, Burrell! And I have wine in the fridge.
That doesn't sound right "picked up takeout". Is there something wrong with it or have my ears gotten oversensitive to...something?
I hope you make it through the waters okay, Dana.
-t, I've now said "picked" like eight times and it started sounding weird with everything.
Go Liese! Sometimes being willing to pay the stupid tax is also adulting.
Oh, hey, spraying my face with some Lush toner really is very refreshing in this heat.. Cool.
Go Liese! Sometimes being willing to pay the stupid tax is also adulting.
Absolutely.
It's like the vowel's wrong, but there isn't another vowel that would be better. I think I subconsciously want the "take" to be "took" but I know that it isn't really a verb there and so I'm trying to change the picked?
Still on the road.
So today: new vet seems good, thorough but not as expensive as the last vet used to be. Luna has an infection, so we need to pill her twice a day. Yuck! Not looking forward to it, and ever so grateful that our neighbor is still willing to watch her while we are away this weekend.
Also went to the dentist for teeth cleanings (me and the kids) and to get braces put on (kids only). No wires yet, still a few steps to take first. The snaggle tooth is gone, as is one of Franny's teeth. Tooth fairy needs to pay well tonight.
