Oh, I totally get it as a valuable assignment and it did me good to have to do it. But I disliked it a lot at the time.
Y'all. I pulled out the chocolate that is supposed to go with chardonnay and it recommends pairing with triple cream brie. I do not have any brie! How did this happen? I have like, cream cheese? Or maybe swiss? Dang. Maybe I'll just take a major left turn and pull out the blue cheese that I accidentally bought twice.
Oh, in later adventures in drinking, I picked up some Sailor Jerry rum and Hollows & Fentimans ginger beer when I went to TJs today. Because last night's dark and stormies (how does one pluralize that?) used up our previous stores.
how does one pluralize that?
That is a damn good question. Maybe it should have it's own collective noun.
In Obvious Facts Are Obvious news, when one is hungry and tired and cranky, eating food will aleve nearly all those conditions.
Wow, who knew?
Feeling better now, Connie?
and they are standing around arguing about how they are wasting Magic Hour setting stuff up, and honestly? Magic Hour is real -- the documentary footage of the people arguing looking great.
Have you ever seen Days of Heaven? Entire movie was shot in the Golden Hour and it's the most sumptuous visual treat.
Food is good.
The Magic Hour arguments looking pretty is cracking me up. Meta-filmmaking at its finest?
Sadly, I don't think I like this chardonnay. This one glass will probably be it for today. Maybe with different food it will taste better.
Have you ever seen Days of Heaven?
I have not!
And a good thing I looked it up, because at first I was going to say yes, but I was thinking of Far From Heaven, which is not at all the same thing.
Thank goodness, I have almost finished my work for last week. More tomorrow!
Feeling better now, Connie?
Much, thank you. Circumstances are not improved by it being probably the last really hot day of summer, high 90s. I am so looking forward to doing my decluttering work in 20-degree cooler weather.
