Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Food is good.

The Magic Hour arguments looking pretty is cracking me up. Meta-filmmaking at its finest?

Sadly, I don't think I like this chardonnay. This one glass will probably be it for today. Maybe with different food it will taste better.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Have you ever seen Days of Heaven?

I have not!

And a good thing I looked it up, because at first I was going to say yes, but I was thinking of Far From Heaven, which is not at all the same thing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Thank goodness, I have almost finished my work for last week. More tomorrow!

brillig

Feeling better now, Connie?

Much, thank you. Circumstances are not improved by it being probably the last really hot day of summer, high 90s. I am so looking forward to doing my decluttering work in 20-degree cooler weather.

It cooled off a lot here, thank goodness, I don't think we even broke 90 today. Which means I should have been doing yard work in the relative cool, but OH WELL. Supposed to be not so hot tomorrow, as well, maybe I can do some then.

REGIONAL FLIGHTS, WTF is wrong with you?

Cincinnati to Chicago is $700. The hell?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh man, I just realized what I thought was an impromptu purchase the other day (Starbucks mango iced black tea) was predicated by the full page glossy ads I've been seeing in Flipboard for the past month. I am exposed to so much less advertising than I used to be, and I think that has made me more vulnerable to the little I do see.

That does sound pretty delicious, though.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Cincinnati to Chicago is $700. The hell?

When the Aussie dollar peaked in value I think I could've got to Chicago for less than that.

I went to the market solo, ran my errands, picked up a dowel rod, swam 2+ miles, vacuumed and mopped the house, reengineered the catch tray on the birdfeeder and spray painted the dowel. There was a 2 hr layabout in there, but still.

Tomorrow, I need to cut the dowel and use it to replace the one on the tray table that busted. And I'd like to purchase something like this for the spare bedroom, to store spare linens and things. Rather than Rubbermaid. [link]
