So I'm watching Season 1 of Project Greenlight (NB: Not the most relaxing choice to do work to!), and they are standing around arguing about how they are wasting Magic Hour setting stuff up, and honestly? Magic Hour is real -- the documentary footage of the people arguing looking great.

I'm doing some onerous tasks this afternoon. I found a salon and made an apartment in a couple of weeks. I ran some errands and went to the post office to mail a Memento DVD back to my old roommate. I found two copies when I unpacked and her DVD collection was kind of pathetic once I'd packed mine. Then I called my insurance company because my prescription refill request got a weird insurance hold, but it turns out there's nothing wrong with my insurance so now I get to call the pharmacy.
I'm also trying to figure out if I can fly to Michigan for the weekend from the Kitchener-Waterloo/Toronto area. It turns out that it's very expensive and may involve multiple connections. REGIONAL FLIGHTS, WTF is wrong with you?
That can be really annoying, shrift, good luck.
I ate too much gooey butter cake and feel ill. When will I learn??
I can't decide what to do with my hair. It's in a very awkward growing out phase...
That Too Much Cake is a problem is very hard to really learn.
Yesterday I planned on Getting Stuff Done today but I pretty much gave up on that before I got out of bed this morning. Finishing up the Watching Scifi with Pinot Blanc portion of the day and moving on to Watching SYTYCD with Chardonnay. Been a while since I had a real Day of Rest, I think I need it. And I have too much wine. Happens.
Glad other people are getting some onerous tasks done since I am clearly not.
I am getting grading done, but the laundry monsters are laughing at my feeble attempts to placate them. DH just took the kids to the local pool to do cannonballs off the diving board. I would so join you-t on the wine drinking, but we have a school event to go to tonight and I feel the need to at least arrive there completely sober.
My attempts to keep my kids on top of homework have also been kind of pathetic. Son finished his, but my 7th grader still has a Current Event to write up and a math sheet to finish.
That can be really annoying, shrift, good luck.
Ahahaha, I'm sure you're familiar with the "there should be a way to get where I want to go without connecting through LaGuardia" problem.

I slept in super late and I'm only doing a couple hours of onerousing before I become one with the couch and marathon more Sense8.
I was at the beach this morning, but I still need to do some more work, because tomorrow is RI with family. Oy.
That's a couple of hours more than me!
Ugh, I hated Current Events, Burrell. Still do not like watching/reading the news, frankly.
Paging Jilli! We had a "female energy presence" named Gillian on the ghost walk yesterday (according to the dowsing rods as interpreted by the tour guides (in an empty lot that I walk the dog past all the time, it does not seem like an occult or spooky place to me at all)). I thought you should know. Also - have you gotten any info on that house you were asking about on tumblr? I have the address but not floor plans, if that might be helpful. I almost signed up on tumblr to respond to the post but choosing a username, as usual, totally paralyzed me.

I remember watching The MacNeil/Lehrer Hour with my mom every night.
Now as a mom I see the Current Events assignment as an exercise in reading comprehension: demonstrate that you understood what you read, then offer some response or reaction to it. Low stakes, useful skill, and in the case of my girl, she needs to exercise that muscle regularly. So I'm good with it.
Oh, I totally get it as a valuable assignment and it did me good to have to do it. But I disliked it a lot at the time.
Y'all. I pulled out the chocolate that is supposed to go with chardonnay and it recommends pairing with triple cream brie. I do not have any brie! How did this happen? I have like, cream cheese? Or maybe swiss? Dang. Maybe I'll just take a major left turn and pull out the blue cheese that I accidentally bought twice.
