Yeah, but you're an amateur fry cook and I come from a long line of fry cooks that don't live past 25.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yay Gary!

Please let it involve Cyndi Lauper.

That would be amazing.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay for that!

I have one thing that needs to be done today, but it depends on another thing happening that hasn't happened yet. So I have time to, like, decide what I'm going to work on and zero desire to work on anything at all.

Ooh, I'll figure out what I want in my CSA box next week.

I have two more meetings and at least two things I definitely have to figure today. Good thing I didn't have a beer out to lunch with my coworker (he had one, but I knew I had to stay sharp!).

I'm working from home today because that's what my team usually does on Fridays. Of course, there's tons of construction noise going on in my building so I'm kind of regretting my decision.

I am cranking out work, though.

Yay brother Gary!

I have one more meeting for the day, in 45ish minutes. Should really knock out one or two more required things before that but...nah. Being at home all week means I'm fairly caught up, only have a couple things left at the moment. Then, time to do errands! Where would I get helium filled balloons? Grocery store? Michaels? Target?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I was sending a birthday present to a friend. I used the office FedEx account since the box was large (larger than needed, but the next smaller one I could find was too small) and heavy. Pulled my back hauling it in to the office. Dropped it at the FedEx bin last Thursday ... only to be notified on Tuesday that, since it was too big to fit into the bin, they wouldn't take it from the collection point. We have scheduled pick-ups at the office, so I cancelled the original package, redid the whole thing and left it at the office pick-up point. Wednesday morning it was still there. So I cancelled the previous package and redid it again (since I was told that they wouldn't pick up old packages). I happened to go by the pick-up point when the FedEx guy came by ... looked at it and turned around to leave. I had to CRY at him to get him to take it.

On the bright side, it got there.

Party store is where I've gotten them, meara, but I have not comparison shopped or anything.

Good lord, Todd.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

DH was away in Monterey for a few days, got back late last night and leaves again early tomorrow morning for a week in Spain. Ah, the life of the freelance car guy.

As for me, I am finally using my Xmas gift certificate and booked a massage on Sunday. Also going with my pal, Heather, whose DH is away in Vancouver for four months on a movie, to dinner and to see "Diary of a Teenage Girl" on Saturday. I am much pleased with my bachelorette weekend.

I really should get a massage. The other day my back was so tight I was half convinced it was going to harden into a shell and eventually crack open to reveal wings.

I would be down with that, by they way.

Anyway, it's not that bad today, but still hurts if I move wrong.

My next-cube neighbor gave me a referral to stitchfix (she has used them very happily) and I'm kinda paralyzed by the profile-building "What do you think of the style below?" part. "It's okay, maybe parts of it I would wear sometimes" is not an option. And there's 7 of them.
