Natter 74: Ready or Not

I was sending a birthday present to a friend. I used the office FedEx account since the box was large (larger than needed, but the next smaller one I could find was too small) and heavy. Pulled my back hauling it in to the office. Dropped it at the FedEx bin last Thursday ... only to be notified on Tuesday that, since it was too big to fit into the bin, they wouldn't take it from the collection point. We have scheduled pick-ups at the office, so I cancelled the original package, redid the whole thing and left it at the office pick-up point. Wednesday morning it was still there. So I cancelled the previous package and redid it again (since I was told that they wouldn't pick up old packages). I happened to go by the pick-up point when the FedEx guy came by ... looked at it and turned around to leave. I had to CRY at him to get him to take it.
On the bright side, it got there.
Party store is where I've gotten them, meara, but I have not comparison shopped or anything.
Good lord, Todd.
DH was away in Monterey for a few days, got back late last night and leaves again early tomorrow morning for a week in Spain. Ah, the life of the freelance car guy.
As for me, I am finally using my Xmas gift certificate and booked a massage on Sunday. Also going with my pal, Heather, whose DH is away in Vancouver for four months on a movie, to dinner and to see "Diary of a Teenage Girl" on Saturday. I am much pleased with my bachelorette weekend.
I really should get a massage. The other day my back was so tight I was half convinced it was going to harden into a shell and eventually crack open to reveal wings.
I would be down with that, by they way.
Anyway, it's not that bad today, but still hurts if I move wrong.
My next-cube neighbor gave me a referral to stitchfix (she has used them very happily) and I'm kinda paralyzed by the profile-building "What do you think of the style below?" part. "It's okay, maybe parts of it I would wear sometimes" is not an option. And there's 7 of them.

Same, same. I'm getting a (temporary, so far) promotion, so I think I'm going to up my massage frequency.

Same! I totally quit halfway through setting up the profile.
Ha! I stuck with it and have a shipment coming (the day of Writer's with Drinks so maybe I'll have something new and fancy to wear?)
What my co-worker really likes is the option where you set up a pinterest, um, thingy (page? collection?) for your "style" and your stylist looks at that to refine what s/he picks out for you. I'm not jumping into that, yet, but I can see how it could be fun.
Oh, that's very interesting. Probably more trouble than I'd care to take, but that would be easier for me than deciding among looks, I guess.
Oh, my poor newbie coworkers. At 4:50, they came in to where I was proofreading a proposal and said, "We just noticed the email said to submit by 5pm. Is that serious?" I was like, um yeah. I don't know if the submission actually shuts down when the clock strikes 5, but do we want to risk it? No we do not! So she busted a move and got it in.
Wow, that's impressive, in a way.
They were really done, and it wasn't a huge project. I bet my boss wishes she had emphasized the actual deadline more, though!
