I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think Hephaestus is the more likely god, considering where the fires have been. Hm, how to appease, how to appease...

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I know people had very Mondayish Mondays yesterday, but I was home sick, so today is my Monday, and everyone I have to deal with, including myself, is being super-irritating.

I'm sorry.

I'm trying to maintain my 'Tuesday again? No problem" headspace. It takes some effort.

Maybe lunch is a good idea.

I'm trying to remind myself that even if I have more time than needed, this week, that DOESNT mean I can just say screw it all, I do still have work to be done. Just because I'm not insanely busy doesn't mean I can entirely stop working!! Ugh. So tempting though.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've spent at least a half-hour today waiting for a meeting with a higher-up. I really should have spent that time doing something else! But twice it's been "just another minute," and then why would I start doing something else, right? Oy.

That's so aggravating.

Do I go ahead and set up this conference call that only people from my company have RSVPd for, or do I wait for someone at the customer to say they are coming? I moved it after a one of the customer people told me my original time was bad, and no one has done that for this time yet...

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

This morning, my "shit I didn't say" file kind of overflowed and turned into a "shit I did say to my walking buddy and then kept talking about when a partner got into the elevator with us" file.

Oops.

Ah well. Sometimes that's exactly the right thing to do.

Well, let's not be hasty. You have some good reasons for your attitude, don't just discard it without due consideration.
