I slept in reaaaally late on purpose. I woke up at 7:30 but I was all, "Nope, we are getting ALL the sleeps!" Once I finally decided to get up, I got a library card, took a walk in Golden Gate park where I saw not one but two weddings, made pappardelle for dinner, and unpacked about 6 boxes of books. I also made some progress finding places for some of the things I've got piled everywhere.

Oh, Juliebird, I'm so sorry. That's gotta be hard.
I have made myself a list of things to do around the house today, and already have laundry in! Exciting. Most of my other items are cooking.
Among the things I am washing are new bras I got at Macy's yesterday. I've been wearing bras from Target and/or TJMaxx for years, so I had some sticker shock! My mother was like, Yeah, these are not expensive bras... And there were good deals -- buy 2, get 1 free AND 15% off. But still.
Timelies all!
Grocery run today, plus Gary's mom is stopping by to see the baby.
My sympathies, Juliebird; it's such a fraught situation. Much love to you.
In a shallow new, I am officially 43 years old! Had a lovely small get together last night -- a few former students (they're all in their mid-20's (!!) and I'm mucho proud of them!)
And dcp came and I hope he had fun: it was lovely for Buffistas to rep IRL.
Happy birthday!
I have started sauerkraut, caramelized a bunch of onions, and boiled potatoes for salad. Now I wish I had some ham, because potato and ham salad seems like a thing that would work for lunch tomorrow. Potato salad and pepperoni (which is the only protein currently in my fridge) makes less sense.
Many happy returns, Strix!
IDK, potato and pepperoni salad sounds pretty good to me.
Happy birthday, Strix!
I have been to the farmers market, where I picked up empanadas, flowers, and vegetables. I probably should clean up and throw on a dress so I can peruse the farmers market at the Ferry Building before brunch.
Did my part to support my Y pool program and got my car washed. Those guys took serious offense to some of the spots I've never had any luck with. Kelli was laughing at them and rolling her eyes. "Guys and cars. Now I know why they make fun of me for my dirty car."
And they'll be open tomorrow!
