Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Coming in late ... Zen and -t - there is an entire association of association managers - American Society of Association Executives. They have a certification program so people can become Certified Association Executives (adding CAE after their name).

In a city with a large number of associations it kind of makes sense ... as much as anything else to do with associations does.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Certified Association Executives

Yep, that's what this is for!

"The audience for this program is Association Professionals who want to apply a more systematic approach to their work and improve the success of their organizations. ... It is also a great starting point for those who are not yet eligible to sit for the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Exam."

Not sure what else is needed to become eligible to take the exam. Boss says our company offers the course every year, so by next year maybe my head will have cleared and I can think about whether I want or need to do it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

But Zen, will you be able to crowbar yourself away from your desk?

I dunno, Dana, work is all I know!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I skipped right to the college years.

Right now I'm train wreak glued to season 1. I REALLY don't remember these episodes. Bits and flashes, but not full story lines.

Looks like I'm picking up a used Amazon Fire tomorrow. Slowly working my way into tablet land.

Swam at the city pool at Druid Hill. Where I'm going the rest of the week. Costs me $3 a shot and I can't shower there, but stress free, not far, available lanes and pretty! I think it's a smidge-like a foot or two- shorter, but I can live with that. It was adult swim so it might be crazier tomorrow, but it's a huge main pool and separate dive pool. Weekend might be dicier, but I might have better luck with the Ys then.

I am in a so much better mood. Even though I'm still breaking things at work left and right.

And really odd to find a meatspace friend on Twitter because local reporter retweets her hearing a really close shooting a couple blocks away...and I didn't even hear it. Oh, Baltimore.

So ... I got the job offer today.

It's ridiculously qualified with TENTATIVE all over the letter, and it's conditional upon my passing some background checks (and fingerprinting). But god willing and the creek don't rise, I may have a start date in about a month. Or so.

In other news, I fell while running this morning and chewed up my leg and elbow something ugly. HURTS. And apparently hydrogen peroxide is no longer the thing to use: you are more likely to scar with H2O2. So I'm using off-brand neosporin instead.
