I went for the white wine instead, but I cut it with sparkling water, since I have to write.

Mm, that also sounds delish.
Woo hoo! Victorian Farm is back on YouTube! Maybe the BBC finally saw the illogic of yanking it off when there was no Region 1 DVD available for us here in the colonies to buy.
I got empanadas and heirloom tomatoes at the farmer's market this morning. Once my kitchen stuff arrives and I can cook for reals, I'll definitely buy more produce there. I ate a picnic lunch in Golden Gate park with Laura Shapiro & her partner, and then we wandered around for a bit. Now I'm home and I've cracked a beer because it's time to watch some TV. It's hot, so I'm probably having caprese salad for dinner.

That sounds great: I'm sure it's cooler there than here!
caprese salad for dinner.
That was my lunch yesterday, courtesy of the tomatoes that the neighbor 3 doors down gave me from his front-yard tomato plants. I only lacked fresh basil. Poor planning.
If only caprese did not involve tomatoes.
Dana speaks for me.
Home grown tomatoes are good!
In my professional life, I don't actually mind the emotional labor (I feel like costumes is like, 70% emotional labor)-- I just wish that we got paid commensurate with the people who do physical labor. I have been told that set building people get paid more because if the set fails, it would cause physical harm to the actors, but I am running around making sure people don't get harmed emotionally!
We had curry chicken salad and deviled eggs for dinner. Total nom. The heat of the day is gone and it is so nice eating on the back porch, enjoying a glass of wine, and just relaxing.
