I'm supposed to deliver you to the Master now. There's this whole deal where I get to be immortal. Are you cool with that?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Truth.

Do people have therapists? I keep meaning to get one, so I know it's not that easy, but it seems like a really good idea!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I just spent 12 hours in the theatre and did not hear a single phone ring! It is possible! Why can't people manage that for a 90 minute show?

I'd imagine the crowd for a 12 hour Greek tragedy marathon might be a bit more committed to the immersive theatre experience than the average person who walks into a show off the street.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I cannot even comprehend how all you with families can keep getting up every day and take on not just your emotional health but theirs as well. Seriously, I am in awe. I can barely get up to deal with my (pretty insignificant) shit some days

Triple-signed.

I have had. She was pretty good for me, but she stopped taking my insurance. You can probably find a list of therapists on your insurance providers' website, and then just call and see who's taking new patients. My method was always to start with the one whose name was coolest. "First I'll call...Dr. Rock Wolf."

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Urgh. Because Gary may have a cold(he's congested) I had to handle all the feedings and diaper changes last night. Which ended up with 1 am, 5:15 am, 7:30 am and 9:30 am.

Not a very restful night.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Well, yes. But I don't think that many people are walking in off the street with these ticket prices. [link] Why would anyone pay that much to see a show and not be willing to immerse themselves in it? It's not like it'll be on Netflix later.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

A therapist would be a great thing, I agree. Haven't gotten very far in my research into good ones for our needs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You could start with your needs.

Again, I have no demands on my time, and haven't managed to make the call! I am just saying.

ION, I swear to god, if my mother doesn't call the Geek Squad, I'm going to kill her. I was telling her not to sign up for it, because I am her tech support. She was all, "No, no!" So I just helped her set up her new computer. I told her I wouldn't turn it on, though -- she has to do that another time.

brillig

There is a wretched haze over the valley, it looks like smoke haze, but I didn't think there was a fire that near. Regardless, my sinuses feel like they've been sandpapered.

Still wicked hot here. I'm hiding inside, trying to work on a story. Probably will bail on dinner with Dad tonight: it's too hot to take him out. He had a hard time yesterday, got a bit wobbly when I dropped him off, and it's even hotter today (or it feels like it).
