Y'all see the man hanging out of the spaceship with the really big gun? Now I'm not saying you weren't easy to find. It was kinda out of our way, and he didn't want to come in the first place. Man's lookin' to kill some folk. So really it's his will y'all should worry about thwarting.

not your mom's socks.

Sure. I believe you had no idea before you started. Hm.

I didn't bc I had zero plan when I started except socks pretty PT bad.

Your mother apparently contacted my mother about getting together.

My mother did more than that, I am taking away her facebook so she cannot stalk weddings any more. ARGHHH.

I suggested Turkey Day, since I know you go elsewhere, and this year we will be in Chile.

This is a cunning plan.

Chile? That's awesome! What part(s) are you going to?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

It is too warm for socktober here.

Ha -- I rely on knee socks for just this kind of way-too-warm October weather, when it's really too warm to wear pants every day (plus, let's be honest, several of my pre-baby pants still don't quite fit yet), but I flat-out refuse to shave my legs again. So, skirts and knee socks it is!

Can I say how good it was to see Lee and shrift? They are the first Buffistas to visit me in Melbourne (I did catch up with meara in Sydney lo these many years back), and the first to meet Biyi and Ryan.

Yay for intercontinental Buffista meetups! I'm so glad you all got to see each other. I have dreams of going back to Melbourne one day (where I hung out with Angus, back in 2003!), and would be thrilled to see you and your lovely family if I ever do make it back there.

Happy birthday, Calli and Burrell!

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I wonder if anyone in this meeting would notice if I skipped out to take a shower.

What part(s) are you going to?

So far, no plans except to fly in/out of Santiago since the DH has work meetings there after we are done vacationing for a week. Tix were cheapish, so we booked, and now we have to figure it out.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

In loving socktober from a distance, but personally I'm clinging to my flip-flops a little while longer.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

If I remember correctly, Heart started life as a Led Zeppelin cover/tribute band, so their LZ covers are consistetly pretty amazing.

I'm glad you got to see them, Matt. It sounds like it was well worth it.

Also, yay for meeting the Clan of Tea! Lee and shrift, I'm envious.

One thing for starting the commute in the dark: Seeing the sun rise over SF Bay this morning was lovely.

Karl, it is wonderful to see your pixels and have you here to remind us of silver linings!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, yes! I have one crazy early day a week, and I actually look forward to it for the gorgeous sunrises -- work is exactly due east from home, so every now and then I get to bike or shuttle-ride straight into these amazing Maxfield Parrish skyscapes.
