That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Go Dana, move like the wind!

I think I have talked myself into an iPhone SE and Apple Watch. Now I just have figure out how to pay for them. Meanwhile my 5s with a cracked (that is really an insufficient word, but I'm having trouble coming up with the right description) screen continues to work.

(I didn't edit anything out bc msbelle said I didn't have to.)

Hi hippo!

I just wanted to say that.

If only telekinesis were a possiblity, hippocampus, then your advil could come to you.

I just gave G her shot. And she moved. And I almost knicked myself. Sigh.

Hi -t ! it is good to see your pixels.

Kat, if I told you how long adult-me spent trying to slam a door with my eyes after watching Matilda, just hoping, you would laugh. When we showed it to HPF, she did the exact same thing.

We are a small one-house nation of unrequited door slammers.

looks at calendar

Ah, yes. I'm hitting the Everyone Is Stupid and I Hate Everything and Eat Stuff That Makes Me Feel Sick part of my hormone cycle. Explains so much. And my parents arrive Thursday.

Just wait for the OMGWTF my PARENTS ARE CRAZYMAKING! posts the following 5 days. Damnit. I'm looking forward so much to their visit, hope I can keep the short fuse in check.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Day finally done, waiting for the shuttle to whisk me home after a deplorably long day. So, so weary. And gross and snotty and so very deconditioned. But I got paid today, so tomorrow I get to drop my bike off for a tune-up.

The, I'm glad she's doing better. Seconding the counseling-for-everyone advice. How is her brother doing? That's got to be such a terrifying, difficult thing for even a very bright kid to witness and try to make sense of. So much love to you guys.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I have spent my evening (post-putting-children-to-bed) buying myself several pairs of novelty socks, inspired by hippo's Socktober posts over on FB. It was definitely the right choice. Happy early birthday to me!

I am in deep love for the socktober stuff.

My running club is doing a donation drive for Carry the Future and one of the things they are requesting is wool socks.

These two things make me think I should go look at sock dreams .

Because books.

It's so nice to see everyone here. I want to wrap myself in this thread for a while and bask.
