So much that, JZ. And holy fuck am I glad I decided to call 911 (after talking with the VA nurse helpline) and that didn't happen here at the house.

I'm home now and he's in an ambulance headed to the VA. A transport ambulance, I should say, not lights and sirens. I'll go up tomorrow but he won't really be fully aware tonight. The VA is about an hour away mostly on country roads.
In less distressing news, Lee and I are about to leave on an excursion to Phillip Island to see some koalas and penguins!

It is taking me forever to get through a single novel anymore. And my list of things to read is really long.
I had to just start from scratch. And if I don't set aside a block of time, I know I won't get a chance to read. So one day of the weekend, after I take care of the dogs (oh, I have dogs now), I can sit and read a while.
I know whereof you speak Laura. It seems like any time I settle in with a book to read these days I'm asleep within a few pages. Used to read 60+ pages of fiction a day. (To be fair, I do tons of reading online and as a part of my job, but rarely sit down and get through a book anymore.)
