Oh no, -t. That sucks.
Had a lovely dinner with my niece, but I also spent $550 today on my car: brakes and an electrical loose connection which caused my wipers not to work. Since today was the first day of rain since last spring it suddenly became a problem.
It's Saturday! Yes, I am working, but in my jammies for weekend mode.
I am trying really hard to get through the next 24 days without posting political stuff on FB. I will comment on other people's things, but hoping to just post cookies and puppies myself. The negativity of it all is just so overwhelming. I want to take a nap for the next 3 weeks.
Super cute dress. I want it.

Both are cute...but the second is my favorite of the two.
I like the second one, Dana.
You guys! I just bought my first dress from eShakti! It hasn't arrived yet, but I feel like I'm part of the club now.
It's not a "cute" dress, it's a sweatshirt dress with a hood and pockets and extra-long sleeves that I plan to live in this fall (if it fits).
Also, I've finally made a decision. I need a haircut. I keep saying I want hair I don't have to fuss with, then I realized: I'm ALWAYS fussing with my hair! Pulling it back, trying to style it, getting it off my neck and out of my way. I'm always happier with it when it's shorter, so I'm doing that.
Now I just have to decide on the color. What do you think? Stay with auburn? Dye it back to its natural black? Or just let it grow out salt and pepper again? Polls are open, vote today! (Don't say Do what you want! I like them all, I can't decide what I want!)
sweatshirts are cute! what?!
I made a hair decision too. I am not going to the crazy Bundy-supporting lady anymore. done.
Zen - I'd let it grow in salt & pepper. give it a rest at least for a bit. I am all for more women showing their real hair. My god if you only looked on media, you would think no one had grey hair until they were in their 60s.
I just saw a great sweatshirt dress in a magazine and I want it.
I also saw a youngish woman with the cutest (natural) gray hair this morning, and I want that, too.
Of course, for my own part, I got my highlights refreshed last night and also a few inches cut off.
I'm so happy I got about 3 inches cut off. (Of course, the funny part is that it still basically hits my shoulders, so it was craxy long [for me] when it was cut.) And the thing is, if I had just gotten a trim to give it a decent shape but kept the length, it looked good, especially when it was blown out.
But my issue is 100% a sensory thing. I cannot STAND the feel of my hair on my shoulders and upper back, especially when it's wet, but also dry. That's why it was in a crazy bun all summer. I'm envious of women who have long pretty hair, but I can't do it without driving myself insane.
