Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Had a followup visit with the orthopedist today. He says I can start putting weight on the foot in the boot, and I should wear it for 10 more days. After that, he gave me a brace for the foot. He also signed off on the paperwork for a temporary handicap parking permit, which I then got at the MVA. Took the rest of the day off. I go back in 4 weeks, but I will be starting physical therapy once I start with the brace.

Our wings are not tired.

Yay for weight bearing feet! When I had foot surgery my kids were grown and could be actually helpful. I can't imagine having a wee one when on only one foot.

I should tip for furniture delivery, yes? How much?

I'm wondering the same, re: the bed I'm allegedly getting on Saturday. Likewise with movers.

Well, I just passed my first Stanford class. I probably could have gotten a better grade if I hadn't just rushed through the final exam, but whatever. I'm going to Australia tomorrow.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Anyone still watching Grey's Anatomy? The Denny's clinic has still been open this whole time? With all the changes to the hospital just waiting to be needed for the plot?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Y'all, I think maybe this election cycle is having a negative effect on my mental health. I've been super depressed even for me, the last couple weeks. I'm barely functioning right now. I usually feel like PTSD triggers are for other people but. Maybe I'm a regular human in that respect after all.

Either that or I don't know what the hell is happening.

re: tipping--I just did some Googling, and for furniture delivery it's ranging from "they don't expect it" to "tip them if it's heavy or awkward."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm sorry, Zen. I know the election has made my depression and anxiety worse, although I've been feeling better since Hilary's polls have improved.

But four weeks seems like way too much time to have to deal with this anxiety. I would like it to be November 9th, please.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I'm pretty sure that's actually a thing right now.

Yup.
