Someone reassure me that the movers will not be (obviously) disgusted with me for not having absolutely everything boxed up properly when they show up and that they will be patient with me as I'm shoveling things in at the last minute.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good for you, Connie. Some men are just so blind. I mean, even if I can believe that those specific people have never made unwanted advances, it's so obvious that Trump is a lech! And lech in position of power and/or authority always equals bad behavior.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

My last move, I was still packing as the movers were taking stuff out. They didn't seem to feel this was unusual.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sure they've seen worse, Connie, and you're paying them for their time. So, they'll have to deal.

Oh, gosh, the DJ responded to the email. I haven't had the guts to read it yet. Which is utterly hypocritical of me, I had the brass to be nasty to him, and he's a real person, and I owe it to the real person I've been listening to for decades to read his response, and I want to sit under a table and read fluffy fanfiction for the next three weeks.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

The consignment place that was taking two large pieces of furniture and some other stuff has suddenly been told by their landlords that renovations are upcoming, so they've stopped taking stuff. AUGH. Why so complicated.

Hell really is other people. You put together careful plans, and life does its life thing and kicks a piece out.

Read the DJ's email. I get the impression that he's not really following politics and hasn't been thinking of any of the newscast as spin. The newscaster is pretty buddy-buddy with him (as much as you can gauge from what you hear on the radio), so it's easy to see how a man busy with running a morning drive show would not be thinking critically of the job of a man he likes. But, hey, at least the thought has been planted, and maybe they'll chat. Discussion may spread through their own office.

I'll send him a nice email later.

It's okay. It's fine. Maybe I'll find someone better. I adore talking on the phone.

Gotta get through two more weeks. That's it.
