I swear sara and I must be seeing the same hairstylist, thousands of miles apart. The only difference is that I've had the same stylist for only a decade.

My stylist is in a salon in a department store at the mall across the street from my old job. So it was SUPER easy to get my hair trimmed once every 4-6 weeks. But now it's a good 20-25 minutes away, and the cut grows out well, so I just trim my own bangs and *intend* to get it cut but then let months go by.
My last haircut and color was in December. At the time I intended to keep it up. Hah!
My last cut and color was April, before I went to Chicago for work. But I got about 3 inches cut on Saturday and I am SO happy with it. And I intend to get it colored again before Thanksgiving so that it looks all shiny for the holidays. We'll see.

I've had the same stylist for 23 years, since I got out of college. Also the same primary-care doctor. Neither of them are allowed to ever retire. (I suspect they're both 10 years older than me or less, so they should be working for quite a while longer.)
Thanks for the reminder that I need to touch base with my stylist. I need to see if we can shift the time a bit so I can get to PT on time that day. If not, I have to reschedule which will suck. I don't even need a cut, I just need to get my bangs relightened/dyed.
I was sitting in my office wondering what to have for lunch, when the oven beeped to remind me I was literally in the middle of cooking pasta chicken. Guess I haven't really woken up today.
I have been fussing over whether I have enough and sturdy enough boxes for all my books, whether I'm overloading boxes, whether the moving guys will be annoyed with me, etc. Last night I said "screw it" and bought a bunch of plastic bins with lids that I can put my books into that I know will hold the weight. Possibly not as conveniently stackable, and possibly more durable than I'll need, but the saving in anxiety is more than worth it.
Took an hour and a half to get a five-minute test for carpal tunnel. It involved more electricity and needles than I'd really prefer, but the neurologist judged it a mild case with no permanent nerve damage. Hopefully this means no surgery.

Almost always is, IME!
That sounds like good news, Dana!
Yay for goodish news, Dana. Boo for needles in hands. ::shudder::
My stylist is up to $70 (which means $84 with tip) but I have short hair and usually go 3-4 months between cuts, so it averages out okay. And she's a doll and the cuts grow out really well. However, if I do find the dress to be Eleven for Halloween, I am going to buzz my head somewhere super cheap.
Connie, sounds like a good decision to me.
Ooh. Buzzing your head? Sexy! (Also, David alert!)
My haircut is $72 with tip, but she's good. I tried another woman at the same salon, and she was ok but not as good. I should go more often but it's hard to schedule so I end up every 8-10 weeks, probably once I finish growing it out it'll be even less often.
