Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Flouncing is out - formal resignation is in!

I, too, wondered why someone was resigning from here...and why others would be cheering them leaving and saying get out!!!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I gotta officially resign from the board, because this is painful and annoying.

I thought you left them ages ago.

I did too! Is this a different thing? GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT

I stopped being the librarian, and said that I would help out if they need help with things like stuffing envelopes for the annual mailing, etc., and somehow that led to me being kept on the board as a "secretary." (It happened *at* a board meeting, and it was kind of like -- you know how you cringe at public marriage proposals because it's not like the woman can say no without looking like an evil shrew, even though she's not the one who orchestrated the situation? -- well, when I was sitting a board meeting saying "I can help out with stuffing envelopes," one of the board members pounced on it and said "I'll keep you on the board as a secretary!" and made it sound like a privilege and I wanted to say "No hell no I want off this board," but how do you do that in front of a bunch of people without looking like a dick?**)

**Please DON'T actually answer this. I realize there are people who are more assertive who would be able to have shut her down, but I didn't, and that's what I'm saying. I'm timid about stuff like that and it actually doesn't help me one bit when people come along behind me and tell me how they would have responded in the situation, because it just makes me feel like I am a GIANT failure at assertiveness since everyone else just kicks ass at it. Thanks for understanding.

Man, that felt cranky, and I didn't mean it to be. I'm annoyed at myself for not being able to be assertive in some situations, and that annoyance (at myself) is what fueled that post.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I would totally be in that situation, Steph. I would probably "disappear" if I were you, but you probably can't because of Tim.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

The eyes DO NOT want to remain open. I'd try for a quick nap, but Comcast is due here soon to switch out a few of my cable boxes. Kelly's boyfriend is living with us until May and he works there, so is taking over the cable bill as part of rent. So, for the next few months we have ALL THE CHANNELS and an in house troubleshooter.

And a mini-rant about school - yo, teach, you outlined the requirements of my last paper in the syllabus and the weekly update and then dinged me for points I didn't make that weren't specified in the assignment. I can't read your mind. I covered the material as outlined. If I didn't dig deep enough, say that. But feedback of "didn't include blah, blah, blah" when I didn't know that was needed. Arrrrgggggg. Yes, I still got an A, but it is frustrating and has happened on EVERY PAPER for this class.

So, are we at the point in the election where we can say, "Ascend, already!"?

Apparently trump is now saying "the gloves are off!", which makes me wonder how he found gloves small enough.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

He also said the "shackles" were off.

I want him to be so humiliated that for the rest of his life, when he tries to go to sleep, the events of this election play out in his head and keep him awake.

I'm stunned there are evangelical Christian women who are saying "Trump is awful SERIOUSLY NUKE THIS GUY FROM ORBIT GOD DOES NOT WANT YOU TO VOTE FOR HIM." (Okay, that's paraphrased.) Because I remember all too well from the FAC that you support the GOP candidate even if he's 5 ferrets in a trenchcoat, because abortion. Literally abortion is the only reason, because fuck the rights of the living.

So Beth Moore slamming Trump is HUGE, and it gives me so much hope.

And MAN, between 538 and the NYT poll and the Princeton Consortium, I want to post the Hamilton GIF *so* badly.
