Yes, there is. There's a hurry, Xander. I'm dying...I may have as few as fifty years left.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And MAN, between 538 and the NYT poll and the Princeton Consortium, I want to post the Hamilton GIF *so* badly.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Maybe it'll be safe after the last debate?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So, are we at the point in the election where we can say, "Ascend, already!"?

I hope so, because I've been saying it for weeks?

brillig

The Mormon-church-owned TV station provides the newscaster for my morning commute radio newscast. They were spinning very hard on "A ten-point deficit in the polling isn't that big, really, Trump could still come back from that." I am flabbergasted at how hard they're downplaying how awful Trump is and is doing. The LDS Church *despises* Trump, so I don't know if this is pushing a horserace for ratings, Republicans Uber Alles, or "Dear, sweet Jesus and Joseph Smith, please, not Hillary!"

Punishingly Intricate

one of the board members pounced on it and said "I'll keep you on the board as a secretary!" and made it sound like a privilege and I wanted to say "No hell no I want off this board," but how do you do that in front of a bunch of people without looking like a dick?

I'm pretty assertive but I would totally have done the same thing as you. They put you in a super awkward position!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Totally understand that, Tep. I hope you can manage to resign without too much trouble.

I have, according to my phone, averaged approximately 9 hours of sleep a night in the last week and it is NOWHERE NEAR ENOUGH. I actually did take the afternoon off yesterday and went home and slept for a few hours, read a little and slept all night and waking up this morning is still not entirely happening, to be honest. I know that in the last month I had a period of time when I felt actually well and it was amazing. Presumably that will come again. I wish I knew something about the cause and effect of it all.

I love that in my neighborhood's Nextdoor posts there is a post about a Full Moon Goddess workshop. And I am *totally* NOT making fun -- what I mean is, there are not too many other neighborhoods in conservative old Cincinnati (maybe NO other neighborhoods) that would have a post like that.

There was also a recent post about "I lost my chickens; here are pictures of them in case they turn up in your yard." Stuff like that is a REALLY nice balance to "Shooting in front of XYZ apartment last night" and "Drug deal on ABC Street -- pictures attached."
