We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

When he was circling her, all I could think (besides FUCKING CREEPY) was that he actually could not control himself and stay away from the camera for 2 minutes.

A co-worker on FB asked if he was doing the pee pee dance.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, that's Omar. Black, gay, and armed--Trump's nightmare. Cool...maybe Simon going on about the zeitgeist wasn't just him being my very favorite pretentious egomaniac...okay, mostly. But he made it anyway. Go him.(I so loved it when Colbert brought his Emmy to the interview and said "You know you wanna touch it,") I think you'd love The Wire, but I admit I'm tiresome like an evangelist about it, and it can be slow. Like "Here's that thing from two seasons ago."

Our wings are not tired.

Something that was painfully clear tonight - Drumpf doesn't give a fuck about anything other than being on TV.

So true. The Donald fans were thrilled to pieces about his clear and decisive win. Really. He didn't pick up a single new fan, but his core couldn't be happier. Grateful that it is a percentage too small to actually win the election. Hugs prediction sites close.

My concern is that the red states are going to be even more angry and divisiveness worse than ever when this election is finally behind us.

Coding and Sleeping

I worry about after the election too. Too many people are already convinced the election is rigged. There are too many people in this country that make a living off of outrage.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I feel good about the fact that HRC's percentage went up again on the NYT site and the Princeton Consortium site.

My concern is that the red states are going to be even more angry and divisiveness worse than ever when this election is finally behind us.

It wouldn't be any different if Sanders had gotten the nomination. The Trump supporters who are angry and divisive would be like this with anyone who fills the DEM slot of NotTrump.

And yup, I get that HRC is a woman, and there will be a special kind of horrific misogyny thrown at her, just like Pres. Obama has had horrific racism thrown his way. But I still don't think this would be any different with any other DEM candidate. No DEM candidate exists who could mollify the angry Trump supporters. Not after the way he's exploited their concerns and fears and whipped them into a frenzy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The Trump supporters who are angry and divisive would be like this with anyone who fills the DEM slot of NotTrump.

I do think there is a special well of hate reserved specifically for HRC, but at this point I think the Venn diagram of frothing-at-the-mouth Drumpf supporters and frothing-at-the-mouth Hillary haters is basically a circle.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Wow, watching clips of John Oliver from last night, it's the first time I've actually heard that tape. Hearing Billy Bush giggle is really sickening.

Our wings are not tired.

I didn't realize that Bush was currently hosting the Today Show because I don't watch it, but apparently he has been suspended. Yes, he was disgusting, but at least he gave a real and appropriate apology. My level of disgust with him is minimal compared to the Donald.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Instead of watching the debate, we watched the Blue Jays- Rangers game. Much less angry-making.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I dare not say anything at work about anything currently in the news cycle. I suspect one or more co-workers would take the position that Drumpfs tape was no big deal and then I would have to throw things and never ever speak to those people again.

I just realized that I forgot my meds yesterday and this morning, that may account for my deep desire to crawl under my desk and cry. I think I should run home and take those.
