I think it's that there's no way to huff and puff and blow this away by victim blaming or claiming media bias or general bluster shouting it down. It's his words, captured and there's nowhere to hide from it.
And those words are so super awful and straight up sexual assault-y. I think that's why it's blowing up, there's absolutely no way to spin this.
We beat the 60-minute time limit with only 2 minutes to spare.
We had half an hour and got out with a minute to go. One of the other teams did it in 19 minutes, and there are rumors that someone was picking locks. The person in question denies it, but did casually say a good shim can be made from a pop can.
Paul Ryan actually un-invited Trump from a campaign event in WI tomorrow. (Although give me a fucking break -- THIS is what it takes for Ryan to try to claim the moral high ground? He can fuck right off.)
I think that's why it's blowing up, there's absolutely no way to spin this.
And yet there are people -- women, even -- who are defending it, and STILL saying without a trace of irony that there's no difference between the candidates or that HRC is worse.
What fucking planet do they live on?
I can't WAIT for the debate Sunday.
What I wouldn't give to be a fly on the wall the next time that Billy Bush is in the same room as Aunt Barbara.
If Billy was involved in leaking the tape, Aunt Barbara might forgive him his part in the contents. I understand that Barbara Bush can't stand Trump. Even if he does make her sons look like Churchill-level statesmen.
Barbara's family nickname is "The Enforcer".
My Trumpy friends are still Killary Killary Killary!!! There is a % of the population (at least too little to elect him) that just think he is acceptable. That was before he found Jesus or some such bullshit.
The thing that makes me half crazy is that his deplorable comments about the Central Park 5 are lost. It used to be one disgusting story a day, but this month I fear it will be multiple hits.
I think what I heard on the NPR politics podcast earlier this week is that it is white suburban college-educated women who are still theoretically in play, so that would be a reason political people are more focused on the sexual assault than the Central Park 5. Which is deplorable in its own way.
I'm sure Trump supporters are like, it happened in 2005, who cares? Or, that's just how manly men talk. Or, the country's in crisis and we neeeeed him.
But I am glad it's finally blowing back on the Republicans.
Or, that's just how manly men talk.
That is pretty much exactly what my female cousin said. I ignore her under the can't fight crazy rule.
