Our wings are not tired.

My Trumpy friends are still Killary Killary Killary!!! There is a % of the population (at least too little to elect him) that just think he is acceptable. That was before he found Jesus or some such bullshit.

The thing that makes me half crazy is that his deplorable comments about the Central Park 5 are lost. It used to be one disgusting story a day, but this month I fear it will be multiple hits.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think what I heard on the NPR politics podcast earlier this week is that it is white suburban college-educated women who are still theoretically in play, so that would be a reason political people are more focused on the sexual assault than the Central Park 5. Which is deplorable in its own way.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm sure Trump supporters are like, it happened in 2005, who cares? Or, that's just how manly men talk. Or, the country's in crisis and we neeeeed him.

But I am glad it's finally blowing back on the Republicans.

That is pretty much exactly what my female cousin said. I ignore her under the can't fight crazy rule.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

On Facebook, some guy just told one of Daniel's nieces (who is disgusted by both candidates, but currently more disgusted with Trump) that her comment ("Fine. Ignore this. Party like it's 1399") while reposting another woman's post on Trump was too full of emotion, and as leaders they should avoid displays of emotion. I asked him what he was leading, the Vulcan Science Academy?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Windsparrow, it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't thing, isn't it? Show emotions, and get branded "hysterical". Don't show emotions, and get called "ice queen" or "robotic.

And somehow Facebook is suddenly the place to be for dry, dispassionate discourse? Really?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Hey, there's people getting a tour of my house! Let's hope they want to buy it. (Probably unlikely with the first showing, but who knows?)

I'm still shaking my head over the fact that suddenly, we're outraged about Trump. I know it's exactly what the internet is saying -- it's an issue now because it's a threat to affluent white women. Anything he said about any other race or religion, anything about specific women that it's "okay" to hate, any insult about President Obama, they loved because he was not afraid to say what everyone was thinking.

Suddenly, we discover that he behaves like an entitled asshole with white women as well? Shock! Dismay! How dare you, sir!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Tim's cousin posted a thing today about how Catholics MUST vote for Trump because abortion. That's it. She and her husband have TEN kids, and they apparently think Trump is an acceptable role model for them, because abortion. Like Trump actually gives a shit about abortion.

(I don't respond to her posts, because there's no point. She clearly has accepted that every vile thing Trump has done, said, or stands for is a totally fair tradeoff because he regurgitates the party line on abortion.)

Librarian Warlord

I am sort of glad to be out of the country and only seeing news when I choose to.

Also why I love Krakow: Two glasses of wine, an appetizer, main dish, coffee and dessert at a nice restaurant on the square, and the bill is under $40.
