I went over to see my new office today. I think it passes. Of course, ours is the only office that hasn't gotten furniture yet, and I wanted to see if maybe I'll want my desk placed diffferently than planned. Oh well. Nice view towards TV Hill , lots of light, airy. Short walk to the Avenue and right over a MOM's Organic Market.

Last weekend at Target they had all the different holiday lights up at the back of the Halloween section. I may have let out an actual wail of despair.
I participated in a team-building activity this afternoon, a bunch of co-workers in a locked room, solve the puzzles, find the clues, unlock the door in under half an hour.
It was actually fun.
Coincidence! I did the same this afternoon, and it was indeed fun. Not as stressful as I had feared. My team was the dept. director, one program manager, one senior developer, two business analysts, and myself (the lowly QA tester).
We beat the 60-minute time limit with only 2 minutes to spare.
Look at y'all problem-solving escape artists! Like land octopuses.
I totally misread the instructions for picking up the bib, etc., for tomorrow's race. I thought I'd have to be there by 4:30, and no, that's when the gate opens I just need to be there by 6 or even 7, and that will not be difficult so I'm not gonna drive up tonight for early pickup. Yay, I did not want to make that drive twice in two days.

WHAT? No. I know you are into Christmas, Macy's, but this is TOO EARLY
At this point in GBBO watching, I have learned enough to shake my head about excess moisture in the mix before Paul does.
I participated in a team-building activity this afternoon, a bunch of co-workers in a locked room, solve the puzzles, find the clues, unlock the door in under half an hour. It was actually fun. I solved some puzzles all on my own, was instrumental in a couple more, was treated as an equal, we got out with a minute to spare. I can only imagine the chaos of a group of people who aren't professional troubleshooters trying to do this.
A group of my friends and I did one of those last summer. We were spies! Trying to get out of the room before the poison gas killed us all! We got out with one minute to spare. It was fun! I solved one of the puzzles on my own, in spite of the guy who was insisting that Libya and Algeria were in the Middle East. (It was a map puzzle. I was able to easily prove him wrong, once I got him to actually look at the map.)
Today I borrowed a net from two guys fishing on the river to help our facilities guy catch a bird that got in the building.
Now that's quick thinking!
Your days are so interesting, aurelia! I would never have thought of that. Did it work? She asks having never successfully caught anything with a net that wasn't already caught on a line. I'm all about opening the windows and trying to herd.
If anyone has wondered whether s'mores made with unsweetened chocolate will work: yes, all the sugar in the marshmallow sweetens it up nicely. To my taste, anyway.
I'm not sober. But there is a recording of Trump bragging about being able to get away with sexual assault because he's a celebrity.
There seems to be a developong consensus that Trump can't recover from this. There's talk of replacing him on the ballot, but it's too late.
