Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

That reminds me, when I got my hair cut last weekend I went for the shampoo afterwards, which included a complementary scalp massage. I'd never had one before because outside of a romantic context neck and shoulder massages have the opposite of the intended effect on me, but that apparently doesn't apply to the scalp variety. I wanted a cot to nap on in lieu of having my hair dried. No more refusing post-haircut shampoos for me.

Coding and Sleeping

Got back from my Doctor's appointment which I thought would be routine, but it looks like I might be having some issues from my blood work and I was running a fever when they took it. When I got home the garage door broke.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

You get a shampoo *after* the haircut? Salons always give me a shampoo before the haircut, and then I have to leave with little bits of hair itching all my neck. Which I have to shower to get off, and so the nice hairdo only lasts until I get home.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I get the shampoo before the haircut and then the blow dry and brush down afterwards removes any hair that is stuck to me.

Bummer, Gud. I hope you start catching many breaks, soon.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Did you say something rude to a black cat, Gud?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Gary's away on an overnight business trip, by which I mean he left late yesterday and returns late tonight. Thankfully, his dad and stepmom offered to help me with the little guy. They were here yesterday when I brought him home from daycare, and brought him in the house and up to his room. Same thing tonight, and they also were here early this morning to get him down the stairs and into the car.

In other news, I have blisters on my left hand from the crutch. ow.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have GOT to up my phone screen game. Just heard from the last one that I'm not moving forward in their process. Not that I wanted the job (in Cincy), but I am damn qualified.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

But living here would have been awesome!

so the nice hairdo only lasts until I get home.

I don't even have my stylist style my hair after she cuts it, because I don't care for the way she styles it even though it's a great cut. Weird, huh?

Which reminds me that I'm getting my hair cut Saturday for the first time since April (no, really; working from home means I really ain't give a fuck), and I don't know if I should get it trimmed to above my shoulders or just go for a much shorter cut. I'm super tired of my hair. It's way too damn long. I should take a picture before I get it cut, because it hasn't been this long in ages.

I've been getting my hair cut on my lunch break for a while now, and one of the upsides to that is the office gets to see the styled hair that I cannot reproduce. Not that I try that hard, but it looks great in the salon. It always gets a little windswept as soon as i'm out the door, because that's life in Suisun, but it's still pretty good for the rest of the day. And I might not wash it the next morning if it takes being slept on well.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I like having my hair styled after a cut. I know I'll never be able to reproduce the look and sometimes I'm not thrilled with the way she does it, but hey - new ideas to strive for sometimes. If I really hate it, I spray some water on it and the curls take over.
