My lunch was inadequate but did not require me to leave the house or put on real clothing. Due to work drama I started working at 615 this morning...only to have it eclipsed by BIGGER drama (but I'm hoping will eventually be a good thing--people got laid off at the company we are working with. Which sucks but maybe will mean they won't have time to micromanage??)

Also, my vote is not pancakes but instead Trader Joe's pumpkin waffles. That was my breakfast.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had yummy tikka masala soup and Reeses Pieces for lunch. The day has probably hit its high point.

And there is water falling from the sky! Amazing!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Even though they give "driveway" as a choice? It's like they don't want your stuff.

I know, right? Granted, I had left it way back in the driveway, but that's because people have to drive there! Anyway, the reschedule date isn't for a couple of weeks, so I'm thinking I'll just trash some of the stuff and bring the rest to Goodwill next weekend. But for now it has to go back into the garage.

Also, my vote is not pancakes but instead Trader Joe's pumpkin waffles. That was my breakfast.

Mmmm, that was my breakfast yesterday. DELISH.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

sj, I hope you heal up quickly.

Even though they give "driveway" as a choice? It's like they don't want your stuff.

It's annoying when you try to do something charitable and the recipients make it difficult. Sounds like they should change the wording on their website.

It's lovely here right now. I love fall in NC.

ETA: I had pancakes yesterday. Not the best I've ever made, but enough butter and maple syrup covers a lot of mediocre carbs.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I came across this Taiwanese half-pancake/half-omelet thingy this morning which I'm also going to need to try soon.

That looks amazing. And you can just make it with egg roll wrappers???

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I came across this Taiwanese half-pancake/half-omelet thingy

Yes, please, I would like to eat this now.

Of course a coworker came up behind me while I was in the middle of investigating further.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I got a flu vaccine last Thursday, and my arm still hurts. There's still a big red spot around the injection site. My whole body aches and I've got a fever, or it feels like it. Is this normal, to still be hurting after five days? This has never happened before. To me, I mean.

I called the doctor's office but they haven't gotten back to me. So I guess I'm not dying. Trying not to be a big whiner but I expected it to be okay by now.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's not normal, Zen. ETA: that is a reaction that someone should be telling you how to treat.

Ooh, that breakfast thing sounds great! As do TJ's pumpkin waffles. I just finished my mango waffles from the summer, so maybe it is time to reup with the new seasonal ones, although I was figuring on actually making waffles at home next time I was going to eat them. Well, gonna be a little while before that decision needs to be made.
