I was told we have snow in the mountains here, too, although I cannot observe that for myself. Which is even better, water-wise.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

On no, sj! I'm glad TCG could be there for you.

FYI, POP (which apparently is a channel? IDK but it's regular cable) is running a Buffy marathon all week if you don't have dvd or online access. It started a little over an hour ago it looks like, so S1E1 is past - sorry I didn't remember earlier.

Ooh! I should look at that. I'm really bad at watching shows that aren't on my DVR anymore.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Yikes, sj. Get better.

My motivation today is at zero. Nada. And I have like five home-buying/selling things to do when I get home, which will prevent me from doing what I really want to do, which is eat pancakes.

I almost left the house for pancakes yesterday, when the football game was at its worst, but instead I managed to tune back in around part 3 of the improbable miracle that let the Saints win. Yay, Saints, but mama still doesn't have pancakes.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Mmmm, pancakes.

Pretty sure you have to eat something, so why not pancakes?

I had a bunch of meetings and now have no motivation to do my work. I think if I can send like two more follow-up emails, that will be enough for today.

Oh! Here's my outrage: I made an appointment for the Epilepsy Foundation to pick up a bunch of stuff from my house. They ask where it is going to be, and one of the choices is "driveway." So I picked that one, and left the stuff in the driveway. Got a call this morning that they "couldn't find" my stuff. And that they do "curbside pickup," so apparently can't go into my driveway to get the stuff. The driveway that people use. I rescheduled, but I'm not entirely sure where I'm going to be able to put this pile of boxes in such a way that everyone can still get out of the driveway. Annoying! But I guess less annoying than bringing all the stuff to Goodwill? Unclear.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

apparently can't go into my driveway to get the stuff.

Even though they give "driveway" as a choice? It's like they don't want your stuff.

That's a close one.

It's not that pancakes won't be available; it's my complete disinclination to leave the house once I arrive home.

Mmm, pancakes. I understand the dilemma, Dana. Can you pick up pancakes on the way home?

I should eat lunch. Which is not pancakes. But is roast chicken and a sweet potato, so not bad at all.

meara - Oct 03, 2016 10:44:44 am PDT #28663 of 30003

My lunch was inadequate but did not require me to leave the house or put on real clothing. Due to work drama I started working at 615 this morning...only to have it eclipsed by BIGGER drama (but I'm hoping will eventually be a good thing--people got laid off at the company we are working with. Which sucks but maybe will mean they won't have time to micromanage??)

Also, my vote is not pancakes but instead Trader Joe's pumpkin waffles. That was my breakfast.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had yummy tikka masala soup and Reeses Pieces for lunch. The day has probably hit its high point.

And there is water falling from the sky! Amazing!
