No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

What a tragedy, Laura! I'm so sorry for everyone involved.

Gud, that's just so rough.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh my god, Laura, that is terrible. I'm sorry.

Our wings are not tired.

DH is talking to his brother now. He didn't want anyone to know! And he is arguing with him about getting an attorney vs using public defender. His mother and I had a big argument when he was 16 because he was so out of control. She was claiming she did the best she could and it was all in God's hands. I blew up at her and said God gave her the kid to take care of not to throw her hands up in middle school and give up. None of us thought it would end up this way. Just heartbroken.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Ugh, Laura. It's not going to be easy.

His mother and I had a big argument when he was 16 because he was so out of control. She was claiming she did the best she could and it was all in God's hands.

This makes me so angry. I do not begrudge anyone their faith, but you've gotta do the work too. Children aren't going to raise themselves. Leaving it in God's hands will probably culminate in a lengthy jail term for her son.

I'm sorry for you and DH, Laura.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

How terrible, Laura. I'm so sorry.

I'm so sorry, Laura. Yes to lawyer, and make sure the lawyer is AV rated (the top peer rating) at martindale dot com.

Sympathies and all the best to Gud and daughter.

One of my nephews has schizophrenia and we've (mostly my oldest sister/his mother) have dealt with it all, esp legal issues. Getting a top notch atty was key in getting nephew the best help in all areas including medical for his issues.

I'm sorry for what you are all going through, Gud.

Laura, I'm so sorry. What a horrible thing.

And none of us deserving the cruelty or the grace -- Leonard Cohen

Oh, Laura, that is just so tragic. I'm so sorry. My heart goes out to your whole family.

Gud, continuing to wish all the best to you and yours.
