Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Gud, so glad.

Punishingly Intricate

Thanks for the update, Gud. I hope you can get some rest, too.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

With regard to Trump supporters- my very analytical, smart, and libertarian conservative friend had this to say. I don't even know what to say. "I wanted to cut some debate video to illustrate to the skeptics why I say Trump dominated Hillary. I haven't had time to install software and everything, it's been crazy here. And reading the transcript filters out Trump's strongest traits - his demanding tone, the way he interrupted to correct the record every time she fibbed, the way she came off as fake and polished vs his perfect representation of the average American with an opportunity to face down someone guilty of creating the mess we're living in, etc. He completely nuked the formalities of a political debate in the midst satisfying way, pushing through the beguiling tone of professionalism that real politicians hide behind. He made it raw. and she was visibly uncomfortable facing down her career of failures, shifting in her stance, speechless, looking down at her feet, forcing a fake looking plastic smile."

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

why I say Trump dominated Hillary

Interesting choice of words.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aside from everything else about that, "his perfect representation of the average American" is the thing I've never been able to understand. The average American is an undereducated racist asshole! I want the President to be better than that!!

In other news, I don't know if you all listen to the Another Round podcast, but they have a sponsor that might be of interest! Talk Space - it's apparently an online therapist, so you don't have to go in, and it's pretty cheap. Anyway, maybe worth checking out for people who can't get to see someone.

Our wings are not tired.

Gud, thank you for the update. I hope that you and all your family can get some rest. Don't hesitate to reach out in any way you need.

why I say Trump dominated Hillary

Putting on my inappropriate amateur shrink hat I was really hit by the piece on Trump's pattern of emotional abuse in the article linked on FB by Buffistas. My closest friend here is a huge Trump supporter and by all logical measures it made no sense whatsoever. Until I read that article. She is in her 50s with a lifelong pattern of emotionally abusive men. Her father and brother are despicable, her current boyfriend, and way too many of the previous ones have been emotionally abusive. I fear she finds him normal. Instead of making me furious and dumbfounded with her, now I am just sad. [link]

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Gud, so relieved to hear she's on the mend. Hold firm that she gets serious counseling once she's can. I'm holding you and your family in my heart.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Honestly, you guys, this is the first time in the campaign that I'm worried Clinton will lose. I need those post-debate polls to come out.

538 looks grim, the NYT site looks better, and the Princeton Consortium looks best. I still want to know why they differ so much. IIRC, Princeton Consortium is the one that billytea likes best, but I can't remember why.
