Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

AAA truck didn't have the right battery, so he gave me a jumpstart (while telling me the story of his life) and I drove to AutoZone, where they installed the battery for me in the parking lot. Then off to the grocery, and back home to clean up cat barf and finally get myself some food.

No fun morning Zen. Hopefully the rest of the day will be better.

I'm procrastinating writing this week's paper. I'm maybe 25% done writing, but I need to get some research done and I am just stalling as hard as a person can stall. One side of my brain would rather compute the results on my grade if I just skipped this paper while the other side is going oooh, shiny, squirrel, should we do laundry, dishes are already done, what about work, we could put in some overtime, oh hey, Jack wants scritches, I should really clean out my closet.

Then there is the tiny voice saying, hey, this paper isn't hard, just do it and then you can flake off the rest of the day. Stupid, quiet voice.

Man, getting startled by a false fire alarm pales in comparison with some of your mornings!

I went to the farmer's market and loaded up on fruit & veg, then had a leisurely breakfast while reading a library book. Now I'm trying to convince myself to get out and walk, but it's hot here.

Maybe I will drop in for a flu shot while I am out and about. They'll be available at work, but not for a couple of weeks.

I usually get mine at work, but they aren't doing them until later in October when I'll be abroad. Plus it takes a few weeks for full effectiveness..

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

C'mon, Suzi. You can get it done, and then chill out for the rest of the day.

I am trying to decide if I want to cook another meal, or make a sandwich, or if ice cream is an acceptable meal. (Fine, no, it's not.)

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Well, better a dead car battery on a lazy Sunday than when I'm headed to an appointment! And according to the AAA guy, I got about two years more from the old battery than they usually last. So overall, no complaints.

Oh, and I got carded buying wine. ahahaha

I'm eating potato chips and sour cream dip for lunch. Adulthood rocks.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't know what to have for lunch but I'd better have something. I just went from 0 to starving in about a minute.

And it is definitely too hot to mow the lawn. I don't know, day, I don't know if I am going to accomplish anything while you are around.

ETA sometime ice cream is an acceptable meal. You probably know whether this is one of those times, Dana. I do not have ice cream, so the point is moot for me.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I made a sandwich and then saw the bit of leftover quiche, so I had that too, and that satisfied my craving for something warm.

I had Sweet Earth Kyoto Stirfry. Pretty tasty, but I'm not sure it was enough.

I really need to work on my budget. I really don't want to. How do I make myself do this?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't manage to do much of anything, but at least I did the bathroom sink and toilet, so it's not horrifying in there.
