Let him do his thing, and then you get him out. No messing with him for laughs.

Woo, meara!

Go home, Jesse.

Good luck with the finger pleurisy, Dana.

Oy, msbelle. Good luck with that. You could maybe emphasize reduced duties/responsibilities to go with the reduced hours if you volunteer for that? IDK.

Man, there's a cooking thing on Tuesday that I would like to participate in but we have to not only say we're doing it but give them the recipe for what we are making by noon today. I don't think I can decide and commit by then.

Walter's all peppy this morning and seems to be walking straighter, so I'm confident that two weeks of this will help if not completely cure.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Not only did I not know that among all of this season's reboots, FOX is doing The Exorcist with Geena Davis, but it's also got Alfondo Herrera from Sense8! (Hernando, as in "Hernando, I lost a flip-flop.")

God damn it. But I don't wanna watch The Exorcist.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck with that, Rebecca. I still dream about Furlough Fridays sometimes -- in 2008 when they put everyone to 90% pay and 90% time, so we got every other Friday off. That was great!

I'm not so sure about my phone screen. The guy asked me very specific information about every job I've ever had, and I couldn't necessarily dredge it up. No, I don't remember that specific number from 20 years ago! Even 10. Yikes. And that whole thing took so long, I didn't really have time to ask many questions of him. So we'll see if I move forward in the process, but probably not until the week after next. Moving on!

Interesting. I wonder what all that specificity is all about.

Y'all, I have gotten out of the habit of watching TV. How did that happen? I don't know how to react to it, either.

It was definitely on purpose, because he asked a different kind of question for each job, for no real reason. (Questions like the most X thing, or what was the increase of that, or where did you take the lead.) Like, he could have just asked each of his questions broadly and I would have given him all answers from the past 5 years, probably. Which would have been better!

ANYWAY.

Maybe the specificity was to see if you'd made up information for jobs you didn't have. I personally find it more likely that you wouldn't remember specifics from a job 20 years ago than if you could say "Oh, yes, on Project XYZ I was able to get a 10% improvement on the performance of Sprocket Q in the Doomsday Process."

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I emailed my boss asking if they were looking to save a specific amount over the next 17 weeks since I can run #s on various things and project ways to reach that. It seems to be just generalized pressure to get out more product and people at risk would not be me. Still.

I swear he was surprised when I was just like, "I don't remember the details, but here is the gist...." Recruiters, man.

What a great idea!

Oh, right, recruiter. That changes my mental picture of the interview.
