""Brangelina" first decimated the gossip landscape 12 years ago"
Made me think of how irritated ita would have been (at that horrible mis-use of "decimate"). I was a little annoyed on her behalf.

Another big fan of Anne Helen Peterson here.
She has a PhD, in gossip! (she really does)
OK, that's awesome.
That was a strikingly bad use of decimate. Even for the more or less accepted modern meaning it didn't make sense, really.
ETA: what I was actually coming in here to say: have successfully changed my start time, yay! That's one thing my employer is very good about, although they are a bit behind the times wrt working remotely, I think (we can, if we have to, but we can't do it regularly. Which is silly, if you ask me, but that's the policy)
Also, coworker across the aisle has declared that my stripey pants are hypnotic and distracting, as expected. I told him he was lucky I didn't pair them with other striped clothes or his head would explode.
I would like to wear a muumuu to work and see if anyone notices. It's that kind of workplace.
Nice.
I think I will wear the aloha dress and bring the two muumuus in case I want to change or one of my coworkers could use one.
Costume changes at work. Do it!!!! See if anyone notices!!!
Fashion show at lunch.(/Kelly)
Ha! Well, maybe that will happen.
Wait, I didn't realize the non-muumuu option was an aloha dress! I too vote costume changes!!
Crossing my fingers the meeting I have in half an hour is (a) productive and (b) not a cluster--the other folks invited some bigwigs, which makes me think it's less "how do we fix X problem" and more "explain why X was a problem in the first place and placate us on how it won't be one in the future" (the answers are "it was mostly your fault and I can't promise that", which they won't like)
I talked to my shrink. He prescribed additional anti-anxiety meds to get me through the election season. Feeling better about that.
My hand was shaking earlier, for the first time in six months.
