"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We are on a train and I just had to tell my trached kid to stop yelling. Sigh.

hip deep in pie

We're having a federal leaders debate, so I am hiding from FB and Twitter for the moment.

My family are visiting. Well my elderly parents and one sister. My other sister was supposed to come, but my sisters had a fight, and my other sister refused to come and has not answered anyone's calls all day. Sigh. It would be nice to have the family without the drama.

Sparky, is that gifted? Not sure what GE is. But yeah, a little ridiculous.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Our gifted stuff was pretty fun in elementary school, but I think they had a lot more money back then! It was called Project Bright!, and we did things like lay on the floor and try and come up with things that the lines on the ceiling tiles made. And they would poll us about what we wanted to do, so in 5th grade we spent the year learning to write mystery stories and also went and climbed a mountain in the Adirondacks. That trip would never happen today, because there were maybe 6 girls, and we only had two male chaperones (the teacher and his neighbor who was one of the student's fathers). The teacher drove the minibus, too!.

I forgot what I came in here to ask-- Does anyone watch Miss Fisher? If so, is there an episode other than the first one you would suggest as a conversion tool? I am going to a little conversion party where we all show one episode of a show we think the others will like and I chos Miss Fisher.

Any one where she plays with a boy toy, smolders at Jack, and has fantastic costume changes. And possibly rescues an orphan or otherwise downtrodden and maligned.

Which is to say, I don't know which one....

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I was assuming GE meant Global Entry...

The dinner I had planned for tonight was not appealing once I got home from work, so I brought money and my DL with me walking Walter thinking I'd stop by the Thurs night wine tasting and nosh some appetizers, but when we went by it was somehow not welcoming, so I came on home and am having frozen pizza and the sauvignon blanc that was in the fridge.

YES! Let me think on it.

I would say either The Green Mill Murder (3rd ep of the 1st season) or Death by Mid Adventure, the 10th ep of the 1st season.

brillig

I started watching Miss Fisher, but I got tired of her rescuing and collecting all the poor, downtrodden people. She pings too high on my personal arrogance meter. I can see the appeal, it's a gorgeous show, and maybe I need to take it in smaller doses.
