Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So I did leave early and got myself over to the 24 hour pharmacy, because last time I did this refill-by-app thing they told me that's where I had to pick it up, so this time I chose that as where I wanted to pick it up. I et there and check in, they don't have the hardcopy. They call over to psychiatry, but just get messages so they figure it might be faster for me to walk over and ask what's up.

So I do that. Turns out some doctor I never heard of authorized te refill because (the psych receptionist theorizes) she was covering for another doctor whose name I don't recognize who is listed as my PCP. I will have to look into that later. For today, the important thing is that the hardcopy is in Fairfield, 10 minutes from where I work, and tat pharmacy closes at 5:30.

I really hope I remember next year when it's time to do this dance again (my prescription is for a three-month supply and I get one no-hassle refill before I have to do this hardcopy required business, and I'll have my annual face to face with my doctor next time that comes around, so I will need to stash this knowledge away for about a year) I will remember that if someone calls and says the hardcopy has been sent to the pharmacy I need to ask which pharmacy.

Yay!

I think my dinner is going to be a handful of peanuts and followed softly by going to bed.

person I had been storage stuff for in my garage just came and picked up 90% of it. YAY!!

And she is buying a bed and dressers from me and took the bed tonight. I am letting her pay me for it over time and I hope it doesn't bite me in the ass, but I guess it being gone and used is ok and if I get the money, then good.

ION - my parents gave each other DNA testing as gifts and mom just did hers.

61.1% British & Irish, 8.1% French & German, 7.3% Scandinavian, 19.7% broadly Northwestern European, 2% Southern European, 1% Iberian, 1% broadly Southern European, and 1.9% broadly European.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ha! I kind of want to do one of those.

I went out to dinner and it was delightful! I'm glad to have met these women.

I did 23 and Me and my dad did National Geographic. Pretty much what we expected, although his soupçon of Native American was confusing until we found the footnote saying Native Siberian might show up like that. Walter's was the one that was surprising since absolutely everyone was sure he was a Border Collie mix and he turned out to be German Shorthaired Pointer with nonstandard coloring and too long hair.

I'm interested in doing one of these. There's one that hits Groupon (or whichever non-Groupon discount site) periodically for about 30 or 40 bucks, but on closer examination, they seem to only break it down to African, Southeast Asian, European, and Native American - I could hand pretty much anybody less money than that and they could tell me with confidence that I'm neither African nor Asian (though my tiny sliver of Native American might surprise them). I just haven't pulled the trigger yet on the $100 ones.

OMG that's weird. But there was a graphic that went around last year with pictures of dogs, and what their DNA said they were, and the difference between what they looked like and what their background actually was, was AMAZING. So Walter is not unusual in that!

I am tempted to do the 23&Me thing, except if it doesn't come back 100% Irish background, that will mean there was some serious shenanigans in the family history, and I'm not sure I can handle that.

In other news, I had to smuggle a bottle of JD out of Dad's room today because he bought it at Target yesterday and it's not on his doctor's orders... Sigh.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, I got'cher white bread with mayo right here. I did the 23 And Me test and it came back like 98% British and 2% Scandinavian. NONE MORE WHITE
