Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I have started asking people on Facebook who post crap about protesting police is the same as forgetting the soldiers who fight for our freedom, "The protestors too are working for liberty and justice for all. How did seeking genuine accountability for wrongdoing become the act of an enemy?"

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

WS, I don't know. I thought our ability to speak freely was one of the rights our soldiers were fighting for.

hip deep in pie

I'm embarrassed to say I was kind of wondering why you were thinking Detroit in the first place, Scrappy. But duh! Cars are your DH's job! They have a lot of those there!

Yeah...I didn't clue into that at all. Anyone see my cluestick?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't exactly know what that means (I know, I know) but I love it!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Oh, my bad for not explaining! I sometimes forget you all don't live inside my head. Yeah, he needs to be in/near a city that has press fleets of cars for review. LA, NYC, Detroit are the top three with the most selection. Our Oregon friend says they get a smaller range there, but all the big names are available. So it might be doable. It is more expensive, though--than Detroit, I mean. Way better weather, though!

Punishingly Intricate

Unreasonably proud of myself for getting the Detroit/Mr Scrappy's job connection! When you brought up Detroit my immediate instinct was to pimp Bmore, of course, but then I remembered! Cars!

Our wings are not tired.

You know those days when you check in and read often then realize hours later you haven't actually posted?

OK, Ellen & Michelle go to CVS: [link]

Joy!

Everyone in my family but my Dad is going to be away for Thanksgiving this year.

I have to give T'day some thought. We are going to be gone for Christmas so I will do major food thing here for Thanksgiving. Buffistas that can deal with blackout days airfare should come to Florida and be fed by me.

Oh wow. I didn't realize that XKCD did something this cool about climate change.

Also, super cool.

There are some Buffistas in the Portland, Oregon area, right?

As they said, yes. I really liked the look and feel of Portland the only time I visited. Might be a less traumatic move than Detroit.

Both Free Will Astrology (which I like because of how it's rah-rah motivational) and my Susan Miller horoscope say that shit is about to get REALLY GOOD for me.

Because I really wanted to not work this morning I checked out both of these. Free Will was fun to read, and Susan was super extensive. Both assured me of good times so I like 'em. From Free Will -

Should you be worried if you have fantasies of seducing a deity, angel, or superhero? Will it be weird if some night soon you dream of an erotic rendezvous with a mermaid, satyr, or centaur? I say no. In fact, I'd regard events like these as healthy signs. They would suggest that you're ready to tap into mythic and majestic yearnings that have been buried deep in your psyche. They might mean your imagination wants to steer you toward experiences that will energize the smart animal within you. And this would be in accordance with the most exalted cosmic tendencies. Try saying this affirmation: "I am brilliantly primal. I am wildly wise. I am divinely surprising."

^^^^ That there is an entertaining horoscope!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Was it ridiculous of me to expect that the currants would also be IN the scone? Because they are not. And I feel cheated. Grump grump grump

Yeah, you got screwed.
