My daughter is turning 16. This doesn't make any sense. She was like 5 a few weeks ago.
For serious.

Aimee, MiracleMan and Em, my thoughts are with you. And we are with you. Pretty much everything everyone else said.
I spent part of last night discussing 401k's with my daughter, who has just gotten her first career job offer. She goes in to do paperwork a week from tomorrow and starts officially the Monday after. The clinic that is hiring her is where she did her second internship. She did some work this summer for one of her other internships. I think that is pretty cool that these places wanted to have her back.
Good luck to you all getting through this transition as easily as possible, Aims and Joe
Seems like a lot of that going around this year, maybe it's just the age group I find myself aware of.

Totally. My niece is 16 and I just can't accept it. I was just knitting her baby blanket!
Someone just complimented my minutes from the department meeting, so nice!
Go K! That's great!
Timelies all!

Movers think I have a lot of stuff in my bedroom. Which is true, but they have no idea how much I've already gotten rid of, so of course I now feel like a hoarder.
You're paying them to move your stuff, not for moral judgements. Your stuff is your stuff.
They're saying that gratefully, right? Because they get paid by the hour?
It's not judgmental. I think it's just making them run late. Also, I will never see them again after today, so.
