Earthquake!?!
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Yes, it set my rocking chair rocking. Didn't seem strong enough to do damage on this side of the state, but there were car alarms going off and it was definitely noticeable.
EDIT: Epicenter in NE Oklahoma, 5.8 magnitude.
Rocked my refrigerator enough to make it squeak loudly for about 20 seconds, and I could feel vibrations with my hand on the wall and my bare feet on the floor.
USGS web site is saying magnitude 5.6 from 14km NW of Pawnee OK, so about 400km away from where I am.
Yikes!
Oh hey -- they were able to save all of my mother's files, so that's good.
Still haven't felt the earth move under my feet in a literal sense. Haven't heard anything so maybe not a lot of damage?
Yay, Jesse! That is good news. Back up. Back up.
Timelies all!
Hey car people! Would a person who has only driven cars with automatic transmissions have a problem with CVT?
I wouldn't think so, Sheryl. I haven't actually driven a vehicle with CVT, but it is still automatic, right?
Apparently a wide area on the earthquake. My family in Nebraska woke from sleep from it.
Earthquake in Oklahoma? Good grief. Fracking??
I forgot the best part: someone ELSE thought I was Betsy last night!!!!! I guess because I dyed my hair back to brown :) I tried to explain, and she was a bit confused, and worried I was offended. I was like "no, now it's a whole THING!!"
Hey car people! Would a person who has only driven cars with automatic transmissions have a problem with CVT?
None at all. My wife's car is a CVT and it works exactly like an automatic.
So sorry, Cindy.
