Zoe: Is there any way I'm gonna get out of this with honor and dignity? Wash: You're pretty much down to ritual suicide, lambie-toes.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Hey car people! Would a person who has only driven cars with automatic transmissions have a problem with CVT?

Our wings are not tired.

I wouldn't think so, Sheryl. I haven't actually driven a vehicle with CVT, but it is still automatic, right?

Apparently a wide area on the earthquake. My family in Nebraska woke from sleep from it.

Earthquake in Oklahoma? Good grief. Fracking??

I forgot the best part: someone ELSE thought I was Betsy last night!!!!! I guess because I dyed my hair back to brown :) I tried to explain, and she was a bit confused, and worried I was offended. I was like "no, now it's a whole THING!!"

None at all. My wife's car is a CVT and it works exactly like an automatic.

So sorry, Cindy.

Sorry, Cindy. That sounds like an awful situation.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I want to say the biggest, and if not that then certainly one of the biggest, historically documented earthquakes in North America was in Oklahoma. The Mississippi ran backwards. Big. Stay safe all y'all who were affected by this one.

I slept for almost 12 hours. My ear is sore from being mashed into the pillow. Still pretty groggy. I think this will be a quiet day of inactivity as much as possible.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

My mistake. In my defense, neither one was a state at the time.

Random: The recent passing of Gene Wilder reminded me that Zoe's vet played Charlie in the movie Willy Wonka & and the Chocolate Factory. Peter Ostrum has been a vet in the Adirondacks for a long time and is beloved by pet owners in Otter Lake and surrounding areas. He mostly deals with horses and cattle, but Zoe has seen him a couple times when she was in for non-routine stuff. I had known his history from stories when he first opened the office in Otter Lake ages ago, but never discussed it with him because when I see him it is usually because my dog has our attention. It was his only film role. [link]
