If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

FDA Bans Antibacterial Soaps.

Good! I hear people say they use them because what can it hurt? In terms of rising antibiotic resistance, they can hurt a fair bit. (See also antibiotics in meat animals and antibiotics for people with viruses.)

I blogged some opinions about the economic policy.

Nice! I have a knee-jerk "that's nonsense" reaction to hearing those policies, and it's nice to see a more thoughtful discussion.

It's so thoughtful of my sinuses to remind me that a tropical storm is imminent.

Yeah, my boobs do the same thing these days.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Seriously. Makes me crazy.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Our pre-holiday early release is extra early today, hooray! I just need to run a couple of reports and I am out of here. I plan to open a bottle of wine, have my spaghetti and meatball lunch, and leisurely garden this afternoon, perhaps putter around the garage.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think when I said "wheat" before I meant "oats". Whichever plant, driving up 395 last week around 4pm we could look out the window and say "yeah, that color"

What do oats even look like when they're growing? I am disturbed to realize I have no idea.

Which waves of grain are amber?

We never get early release here, which makes me kind of nuts. I told my team they could leave an hour early, whatever that means for them.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I too would like early release. I need extra time at the gym today because I am eatting like trash today. Double curly fries? Yes, yes I did.

Mmmm....fries.

My local theater has a personal message on their upcoming festival page, and it makes me laugh! Go here, and scroll down to West Side Story.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so glad this week is over. Yesterday turned out to be another shitty day. I lost my eyeglasses case(though not the glasses themselves, thankfully) somehow. The power went off in our house not long after we had put dinner in the oven. Not knowing when the power would come back on, we went out to get pizza. This proved to be a bad idea, as it disagreed with both Gary and I. (we've eaten there many times before and never had a problem) Eventually the power came back on, after we had put the little guy to bed. Didn't sleep well, partly due to the stomach/abdominal cramps from the pizza.

I hadn't heard from the body shop about my car so I called them. I think they're ready to declare it totalled, but they were waiting for the insurance adjuster to come by to sign off on things. Called the insurance agency and let them know this. Somebody was supposed to get in touch with me to let me know what's happening. So far....nothing.

Coding and Sleeping

I have my quarterly job review yesterday. It was interesting. Apparently one of the reasons I now have a minion is to develop my ability to structure and assign work for others. Overall, it went great. Mostly questions about what I wanted than questions about what they wanted from me.
