The cat ate my internet! Sure, shrift, sure.
Window installation still continues apace. We are down to one guy who is doing the final framing and caulking. My new patio door is so nice. It is basic but the old one was a piece of crap. Having spackled all the holes around the windows, I have to wait before I can put the blinds and curtains back up.
I'm just really angry right now.
ETA: With the situation. And the fact that I'm supposed to fix the problem that I didn't create.
Remember, unlimited drinking Friday night? This week can't last forever?
I feel like I'm being tested like we always are before vacation time.
There's one store in Chicago that actually carries this cable, and it's nowhere close. I have many, many other things I need to be doing do tonight and tomorrow.
What about something like Task Rabbit?

I was just thinking this morning that I needed to create a playlist of songs that make me happy for times such as these. The universe is just seconding that idea. Duly noted!
Edit: I've elected not to deal with it. Roommate called ATT and they'll send someone with a cable tomorrow.
And another crazy rainstorm ends the day, though this one barely had any lightning.
Oops. Just realized I forgot to mail in my ballot today. Oh well.
That's some legit anger, shrift, and totally legit letting someone else fix it.
Bummer, meara.
I had a pretty good day. I'm eating much more normally (could not manage the tortilla part of this morning's burrito, but everything else I've tried), learned two work things today (and neither of them painfully), got to explain how to solve a simultaneous equation problem to someone, and my new headphones are terrific. Kinda wish I had someone to tell in person how good they are working, just because I know I would do that wearing-headphones-shout and that tickles me. Especially as I am listening to GotG.
Speaking of, the thing I noticed recently about Escape is that the second ad says to meet by noon at a bar. Yes, that's the thing I find shocking in that song. Well, shocking is too strong, but I guess I always thought it was tomorrow night.
