Man, I knew I should have taken the 4:30 appointment and not the 5:45. But whether Friday is going to be a lazy day or a busy one is hard for me to predict a month in advance. So maybe I'm going to go shopping and/or get some frozen yogurt. At any rate, there is no good reason to stay at my desk.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
But seriously, what is "enough"?
I don't know, but I think about it a lot. There are certain minimum standards/expectations, aren't there? But figuring out what is actually minimum and what is reasonable right now are both tricky propositions.
Yay for not staying at your desk! I'm expecting to stay late tonight, which sucks, but there are things that I really want to already be done when I come in on Monday and that is likely the only way that will happen. At least I sort of planned for that by driving instead of taking the bus so waiting around time should be minimized.
Oh wow, I just realized that the weirdly familiar taste in the grapes I bought Saturday is the same as the smell of Super Elastic Bubble Plastic that I used to play with as a little kid. Which was discontinued by Wham-O in the 80s because of the toxic fumes.
Maybe I won't buy another carton of them this weekend...
Oh my, that is alarming!
-but I was the only one who knew the rest.
I suspect that the people who cared about you knew, but kept silent out of respect for you. We recognized that you loved him, and there was good with the bad. It would have done no one any good to bring it up.
Also, I don't think being in or out of a romantic relationship is indicative of goodness.
Damned straight. Otherwise, I am EEEEEEEEEEVIL. Oh, wait . . .
Sorry for being a bit of downer today. It's just, well, there's nobody else I can tell.
No need to apologize. We're always here, and it's always okay to not be happy, or be sad, or angry here. This is a safe space with people who care about you (which you are totally worthy of)
Newt Gingrich?

Timelies all!
I don't know that I'd describe my marriage as hard work. It has its challenges(and more so since the little guy entered our life), but I think we've been fortunate.
So I had my first Blue Apron delivery today. This is going to work out great for me. I love to cook and the 3 meals that arrived today are all things I have never exactly made before. What was supposed to be 2 servings really is 4 for me. DH did take 1 to try it out and I had 1 so I have 2 more servings for me in the next couple days.
Today was Spicy Peperonata Pasta with baby peppers, multi color cherry tomatoes, pine nuts, capers, garlic, and other stuffs. Quite tasty, but not my definition of spicy. I wanted to eat it exactly as the menu dictated though. So satisfied. Did get a bit overheated cooking though. It was a lot of slicing and dicing. Maybe next time I'll pull a stool up to the island instead of standing the whole time.
Random wackiness: I'm wearing an acid green/lime/yellow skirt, a blue blouse, and a white shrug today. As soon as I walked in, my cube neighbor said "Oh, Snow White!" We determined that I need some red in the look to really nail it, and he said he expects me to have that by Monday. I told him I don't want to wear the same thing on Monday that I'm wearing today, and he pointed out that the whole point is that it won't be the same there will be more red. Could hardly argue with that.
Anyway, another co-worker said I needed a crown, so I have been wearing my work tiara all day.
And demanding co-worker has relented to the extent that he now expects me to be some Disney princess on Monday, as long as the movie is more than 30 years old. I will have to give that some thought this weekend.
Pocahontas?
Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel (without googling)
Sorry, drop Ariel.
If 30 years is the requirement, that only gives you Snow, Cindy, and Aurora.
