. Plus the sheer annoyance of someone "umm"ing and stumbling, and laughing and chatter in the background making it hard to hear.
ZenKitty, this is my story, this is my song! I hate vid and audio (without the choice for a transcript, that is) for exactly these reasons!
But some of the podcasts are as highly polished as regular NPR pieces. And things like On Being have accurate transcripts (and Cindy, you would LOVE Krista Tippet and whoever she interviews).
