Yeah, I finally got an answer at the yachet club at 8:20 and they ARE doing lessons, so the kids got dressed in 2 minutes and set off on bikes with no breakfast, the one who hates to be late crying. Oy.
Oh flea, that is a bad start. I'm sorry.
I'm taking my kids + 1 + G's nurse to Legoland today. Mom camp continues apace. This is the big finale to summer so it's Legoland waterpark today, baseball game tomorrow, train trip to Santa Barbara on Thursday. I'm already tired and it's barely Tuesday.
That's a big week!
I would like to understand why my cat only wants to party between 5 and 6am. That does not work very well for my preferred lifestyle! And I'm not that good at consistently ignoring her, either.
Uh oh -t, what did green tree do? I think of them as a pretty bare bones operations so I don't rwally trust them.
We are driving back today down the coast. The big mystery will be can we get home in time for swim lessons?
Kat truly does mom camp. Mom camp in my house is more like reading books and swimming.
So rage-y this morning. Parents are leaving for Italy today. I was up at the restaurant until 1:30 this morning, so that my father and sister didn't kill each other as they worked through what needs to be taken care of over the next five weeks. Didn't fall asleep until 2ish. The BF is working a 7-3 shift for the next two weeks. Somehow, when he was leaving, he managed to knock over the huge framed print in the entryway that sits on the console table and leans against the wall. Glass everywhere. That means I'm up. At 6:15 AM. Since my sister is taking the parentals up to JFK for their flight, I'm essentially the boss at the restaurant tonight. It's also National Night Out, which means I have to pretend to like people today. I'm sorry to anyone who comes in contact with me.
I've had that print since '96. It's survived moves, two earthquakes, children, and animals, yet it's felled by an EMT with a pizza box. I'm dreading what the cost of replacing the glass is going to be.
Maria, it might be worth your while to get lexan or something similar at a specialty glass shop. The last time I priced framing it wasn't too terribly much more than regular glass.
Sorry about the no good morning, Maria. I hope the print wasn't damaged, and best of luck at the restaurant.
Thanks, Matt! That would probably make it lighter too, since the frame is metal.
In the grand scheme of things, this is nothing. No one got hurt. I'm just cranky for lack of sleep, and I suppose yet another piece of my past that's broken.
