Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think all caps, no exclamation point.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Exclamation point. I may need a mug.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Teppy if you feel like it, maybe some of your friends would be willing to let you refer them to you. Since this person sounds like she is a conservative turned off by Trump, I would be the wrong person to send her to but I'll bet we have Buffistas who would be willing and able to handle it. (I sometimes can reach right wingers, but it is iffy and mainly those who enjoy debate without being dicks about it.) If anyone has lefty friends who are thinking of sitting out the election or voting Jill Stein, I might be a good person to refer them to. I'm appalled by number of things about Clinton's policy positions today, and ones in the past she has never apologized for. But I still think voting for her is the least evil option. That makes me a good person to talk to left-leaning people the "Hillary is awesome" arguments won't reach.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I tried to push back on "all lives matter" on Facebook by saying that sometimes you want to be specific. Someone replied saying "'all' is specific." Am I wrong, or is that the opposite?????

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

They are dumb about language.

I get an idea. Probably not quite the right one.

-t, you always make me laugh with the pithy and the succinct comeback.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

One of the best responses I've seen to the All Lives Matter thing is explaining that Black Lives Matter, TOO. And that up until now "All" has not appeared to include "Black". I don't know if that'll help.

In other news, the internet has made me happy today with the Twitter hashtag: Fake Trump Intelligence Briefing. Pretty awesome.
