Political conventions should end, I need my sleep cycle reset.
This! I normally go to bed at 10 and am just not able to sleep in to make up for lost time.
So I went to a viewing party with a whole bunch of strangers! It was great. Part was to see the inside of a house I have long admired, and part was to party with like minded Dems. It was great. Met a bunch of nice people. We were all trying to reassure ourselves that the Florida predictions were not accurate. It is hard for us to fathom that a state with such diversity and a high percentage of immigrants could possible go Trump. But then our host reminded us they voted for Gov. Scott. So I will likely be joining neighbors on campaign stuff.
One of the women was a professor at a medical university in the 90s and worked with Clinton on the healthcare program. She was in her 80s and a serious activist.

So Trump is actually calling on Russia to hack Hillary's emails. This after strong evidence it was Russia who leaked the DNC's emails in order to help Trump.

I would like to commend smonster for having a decent conversation with a former coworker of mine who I didn't realize is a Bernie or Buster, apparently! I missed the whole thing, but might have flipped out way sooner.

Wait, the ones from when she was Secretary of State? The ones whose alleged insecurity meant that HRC was a traitor, so Trump's veterans affairs advisor suggested she be hung? Trump is advocating the treason that his minions are accusing HRC of?!?!?! I know logic isn't his strong suit, but day-um. Also, when did cozying up to Russian dictators become a Republican value?
In theory I get that, if you mostly talk about say, TV and stuff with a group of people, whatever differences on that spectrum shouldn't affect that much,
In practice, I don't think it's true.
But maybe that's because I am All About politics now.
Sophia, that still might not be as bad as the all white Once On This Island my former arts camp employer did. It was with middle schoolers and the excuse was to expose them to the music/material but still.
I think that is worse, aurelia. I am not sure.
