Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I spent half the weekend feeling sick about a thing I screwed up last week, and how I was going to get a Talking To from my boss about it this morning. Somehow by the time I got here, I had figured out a relatively strong way to present myself, and was feeling pretty good about it. Then something in my boss's attitude made me go all-in, and I just said something about learning for next time, which she totally took. I didn't have to prostrate myself at all!

So of course then she told me she's leaving in September. I figured she would be following the grandboss to his new job (as she followed him here), but I didn't think it would be so fast! So that's a lot.

But at least I'm not in trouble.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Not in trouble is good.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Great, 10 ramekin/prep bowls to go with neutral Tuscan farmhouse, I think I'll be able to do that. The cutting board I don't have so much hope for, they tend to go really fast, but if I see one I will grab it.

Oh, September is soon. Yay, for not being in trouble!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yay, for not being in trouble!

ITA.

Also, I'm testing my new tagline.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Wow, Jesse, that is fast! But congrats on the not prostrating!

I riced the phone, but it was in there for a long time, so I am not hopeful. I am waiting until tonight to try to turn it on.

I am so frustrated by this rash because a) it covers 90% of my body, b) no one can figure out what it is, or anything to stop it and c) it seems to happen every 2 years for no apparent reason.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Jesse, that sounds like the best outcome of a not-so-great situation. I'm sorry that change is taking place faster than you anticipated.

-t, I'm sorry I wasn't more precise. I think I'd be more picky about servingware that other people might see, but I value function over color when it comes to things I use to cook.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I am so frustrated by this rash because a) it covers 90% of my body, b) no one can figure out what it is, or anything to stop it and c) it seems to happen every 2 years for no apparent reason.

I had a recurring rash no one could explain for a couple months. Very frustrating. Mine did not itch and had no other symptoms besides fingernail-sized red spots all over me from my collarbones to my ankles. Didn't seem to be caused by soap or detergent. Still have no idea. It happened about a year before the maddening itch that also had no other symptoms and no one could explain. I hope you do not get that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Taking the next two weeks off from work to get settled in with the baby. It's gonna feel weird when I do go back.

Our wings are not tired.

Oh, enjoy the bonding time. Yes, going back to work will be odd.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Back from camping. We had a huge storm at 6 in the morning that led to an exodus from some of the tents into our cabin. We ended up with 3 kids and 2 extra adults, which more or less worked because the cabin's living room area has bunk beds AND a loveseat that pulls out into a bed.

The dog went camping with us, but spent the majority of his time lying in the dirt by the campfire, so when he walks, he actually creates a cloud of dust like Pigpen. So he is going to the groomer at 4:00 today for a B-A-T-H.

I love Tim's family, but I am SO HAPPY to be home.
