Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Me neither. I just read about it the next day.
Good choice. I will not sleep well tonight.
I hear he went longer than Bill Clinton... Bill Clinton.
Trump inspired me! To write a 900 word essay and post it on my FB page declaring my Clinton support. I am almost teary eyed here because one of my friends from decades ago shared it. I had no idea her politics and haven't seen her in years. Sniff. I haven't been this determined since the election of 1972. Let's hope my girl does better than my guy did that year.
I spent Thursday evening with my feminist, liberal bookgroup. I'm glad I made that choice.
PMM, much ~ma to your friend, Terry.
Not even Jon Stewart makes me feel better about the election.
I have to believe that the sum total of women, LGBT folks, and racial minorities who will vote for Clinton is greater than the number of fearmongering racist bigoted white rednecks who will vote for Trump. I HAVE TO.
I'm about ready to salt the earth on FB and tell anyone supporting Trump to unfriend me, because WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.
It'll be interesting to see which way white women break. If they vote for Trump like they did for Romney, then I think Trump has a very good chance of winning (not a lock by any means). If they don't, then I think Hillary will win without question.
I've been avoiding a lot of news for the past few weeks. I've been stressed out about my Mom moving to a new facility that can deal with her increasing dementia.
That move happens 10 days ago, but we're still getting stuff out of her old retirement home in Clintonville.
Today I'm on my way to Minneapolis to see Duran Duran with my sister, so I can ignore the news some more.
But I still recognize that history is being made. Bad history.
PMM, that is encouraging news for your friend Terry. Sending loads of ~ma.
