I've been avoiding a lot of news for the past few weeks. I've been stressed out about my Mom moving to a new facility that can deal with her increasing dementia.
That move happens 10 days ago, but we're still getting stuff out of her old retirement home in Clintonville.
Today I'm on my way to Minneapolis to see Duran Duran with my sister, so I can ignore the news some more.
But I still recognize that history is being made. Bad history.
PMM, that is encouraging news for your friend Terry. Sending loads of ~ma.
It'll be interesting to see which way white women break. If they vote for Trump like they did for Romney, then I think Trump has a very good chance of winning (not a lock by any means). If they don't, then I think Hillary will win without question.
I imagine white women will vote more for Clinton than they did for Pres. Obama.
tommyrot, I hope Duran Duran put on an excellent show to reward your perseverence in tough times.
Plei, lots of ~ma for your friend.

Yeah, 12-year-old me is SUPER jealous.
And 45-year-old me is also pretty jealous, too.
Day 2 of the great stair fall:
Ow.
I hope it's all ordinary muscle soreness and bruises, Dana.
The right ankle's sprained pretty good, but not so much that I can't function. I've got the ice pack here at work and an ankle brace on.
Naturally, I have rehearsal from 5:30 to 10 tonight.
Not working in an office during the RNC means I have no one to vent with face to face. I have resorted to -- for real -- telling Kato to bite Trump's butt and whispering to the sleeping kitty that Trump is not a friend to the cats.
And so far, neither of the pets has risen up to defeat Trump. Slackers.
